With the arrival of the iOS 16.2 operating system, we saw some interesting news, led by the new creative application Freeform. Unfortunately, nothing is perfect, which became clear with the arrival of this version. This update also brought a transition to the new Apple HomeKit home architecture, but this was completely out of the company's control. As you may already know, Apple users all over the world are reporting huge problems with controlling their smart home. While the update was supposed to bring overall improvement, acceleration and simplification of HomeKit control, in the end, apple users got the exact opposite. Some users are specifically unable to control their smart home or invite other members to it.

So it clearly follows that this is a rather extensive problem that the giant should solve as soon as possible. But that is not happening yet. As users, we only know that Apple has identified this problem as critical and should apparently be working on solving it. For now, we have only waited for the release of a document that advises affected users how to proceed in certain cases. This document is available at Apple website here.

A mistake Apple can't afford

As we mentioned above, we have known about the problems currently plaguing the Apple HomeKit smart home for a long time. What's worse is that Apple still hasn't resolved the situation. It is HomeKit that is a very essential part of Apple's operating systems, and its malfunction can cause huge problems for people all over the world. It is therefore no wonder that these apple lovers are very frustrated by the whole situation. In fact, they invested up to tens of thousands of crowns in their own smart home, or rather in HomeKit products, which suddenly turned into a non-functional ballast.

It is clear from this that HomeKit simply cannot afford such errors. At the same time, it is necessary to realize that behind everything is Apple, one of the most valuable companies in the world and a technological leader that likes to present itself not only with its products, but also with the simplicity and flawlessness of its software. But as it seems, he is not so lucky now. So the very crucial question is when these critical flaws will be fixed and when users will be able to return to normal use.

Is the smart home the future?

An interesting question is also starting to emerge among some apple growers. Is the smart home really the future we want? Practice now shows us that a stupid mistake is enough, which with a little exaggeration can knock out the whole household. Of course, this statement must be taken with a grain of salt and approached with more caution. The truth is that we as users can make our daily lives noticeably easier with this. Apple should therefore work on the problem quickly, as the frustration of apple users continues to grow.
