Ondrej Holzman Long months since the release of iOS 7 and even longer months since the last major update. Finally, we can stop worrying that O2 will completely forget about their "television" mobile app, because O2TV Go is here, and together with the new name, probably the best TV program for iOS is also returning, now with the possibility of live broadcasting...
In the previous version, the O2TV application was already a relatively usable TV program in particular, but it did not fit the style of iOS 7, so many resented it. Now, however, the Czech Telefónica has come up with a brand new version and a new name, where we can see inspiration from HBO. After all, the entire O2TV Go works similarly.
It will be essential for the user to use O2TV Go if he is also an O2TV customer. If you receive a TV signal at home via O2, you will find many benefits in the mobile application. Just log in with your account and you have instant access to 20 live channels with the Look Back function. This means that you can play the currently broadcast program up to 30 hours after it was broadcast. All the most watched Czech channels, news stations in the original version and several thematic stations are available.
Live broadcasting on mobile devices and tablets is not limited by the type of signal received, but you can connect a maximum of four devices to one account. In addition, O2 has launched live streaming as well on the website. Until the end of September, the service will be available to all O2TV owners for free, after which it will probably be charged in some way.
O2TV customers will certainly welcome the option of remote recording of programs, when they can choose their favorite program from the comfort of their iPhone or iPad and record it with the press of a single button. The mobile application also includes the management of these recordings.
However, O2TV Go will also be used by other users, mainly because of the quality TV program that covers 120 channels. The clear list will always offer the currently running program and the next one, including the timeline and data. For each channel, you can expand the program for the whole day and when you click on the detail of a certain program, you can immediately set a notification for it (push notification 5 or 30 minutes in advance), if it has already been broadcast or is currently being broadcast, you can play it and also activate recording. The TV program also works in landscape in O2TV Go, so you suddenly have a much larger view. Viewing the program on the iPad is even more convenient, where you can see the program of up to thirteen channels in a period of up to three hours.
If you are not an O2TV owner, you can arrange the channels in the program according to your preferences. You will always find the program for the next seven days in it.
The so-called O2 Video library is available to all movie fans, where you can always rent one of more than a thousand movies for 48 hours and play them several times in a row during this time.
Overall, the developers at O2 did a good job, even if it took them a bit longer than it should have. However, it is to be commended that they followed a rather innovative path, where O2TV Go will offer a very original user interface and controls, which are, however, very easy to use. The application is available completely free of charge, however, all functions are only available to O2TV owners.

My experience is rather negative. I am not a customer of TO2, so I only use it as a TV program. In the new version, the program is unnecessarily expanded and there is no option to download the program for offline viewing. Previously it was up to 7 days.
And have you tried it? The offline one? He is there.

It works by itself, by default, try turning off the net.
If they didn't count it into the FUP, then they have a great offer and an advantage over the competition. Especially if with 99,9% coverage by the end of the year it's really true!
Definitely great. I now watch TV on a tablet, I can also watch it on a mobile phone, my wife on a laptop and I on Air.
FDb.cz is just as good, if not better, and it also works on iOS6
It didn't go very well. Graphics confusing and dull. Links to movie databases have disappeared. A prime example of how "flat" design can be inappropriately implemented. The competing application (iPhone only) from Seznam did better for authors.
The links to the movie databases are still there, just hidden under the share button.
Great hockey from the ct4 website was choppy, but it runs smoothly from this app. Thumbs up :)
wow .. I didn't know that at all and unlike the damned power-up that CT does, it runs absolutely smoothly .. it would also work on a macbook .. isn't there something for it? :)
