There have been documentaries, movies, biographies written about Steve Jobs, and now something more is on the way. The Santa Fe Opera has announced that it is preparing an opera about the co-founder of Apple next year.

The opera, titled "The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs," is being created by composer Mason Bates with librettist Mark Campbell, and the entire work is planned to chart Jobs' complicated professional and personal life.

The characters of Jobs' wife Laurene Powell Jobs and his father Paul should also appear in the opera. The Santa Fe Opera has revealed that it will also touch on a sensitive spot in Jobs's life, when he initially denied paternity of his daughter.

The premiere of the opera "The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs" should take place in 2017, the exact date is not yet known. However, it is managed by recognized authors.

Mason Bates' vocal and instrumental compositions are performed around the world and he himself is also known in the digital world as a DJ and composer. Librettist Campbell and his colleagues won the Pulitzer Prize for opera in 2012 silent Night composed on the basis of a picture from the First World War Merry Christmas (Joyeux Noël).
