During yesterday evening, Apple released the second beta versions of iOS 12.1.1 and macOS 10.14.2 to developers and public testers, to which the first beta of watchOS 5.1.2 was added. Although in the case of iOS and macOS we only received fixes for unspecified errors, the operating system for the Apple Watch also brought relatively interesting news. The main one is the new availability switch for the Walkie-Talkie function, which has been added to the control center.

Walkie-Talkie, or Transceiver, was one of the main novelties of watchOS 5. It is a rather useful feature that allows communication between two Apple Watch users. Unlike voice messages, Walkie-Talkie communication takes place in real time and therefore requires both parties to be on the receiving end at all times. If the user does not want the other party to contact him, he must turn off reception in the application on the watch. And the switch just mentioned will be available as a shortcut in the system control center from watchOS 5.1.2.

With the arrival of the update, users will be able to switch their availability for Walkie-Talkie basically anywhere in the system. As with all the others, the new icon can also be moved and thus rearrange the elements in the control center according to your needs.

In addition to the new control element, watchOS 5.1.2 also brings a total of eight new complications for Infograph and Infograph Modular watch faces that can be set by Apple Watch Series 4 owners. Specifically, complications have been added for the Home, Mail, Maps, News, News, Phone, Driver and finally also for Find Friends. We wrote more about new complications in yesterday's article.
