Along with iOS 12.3 and watchOS 5.2.1, Apple also released the new macOS Mojave 10.14.5, which is available for all users. The update brings support for AirPlay 2 and overall improves the stability and reliability of the Mac.

Owners of compatible Macs will find macOS Mojave 10.14.5 v System preferences -> Software update. To upgrade to a newer version, you need to download an installation package of approximately 2,5 GB, depending on the specific Mac model.

The new macOS 10.14.5 is by no means rich in news. Apart from bug fixes and system stability improvements, the update brings only a minimum of new features. One of them is AirPlay 2 support for TVs from Samsung, LG and other manufacturers, where the user can stream videos, music and photos from their computer directly to the TV. MacBook Pro (2018) owners should then experience lower audio latency in specific cases. Apple also managed to fix an issue with OmniOutliner and OmniPlan apps that incorrectly rendered data-heavy documents
