There is one item in Apple's menu that many users are not interested in. It is a tiny one iPad mini with significantly smaller dimensions, thanks to which it offers perfect performance in a compact body. The giant from Cupertino last updated this model in 2019, when it only brought support for the Apple Pencil. According to the latest information from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, big changes await us anyway. Apple is preparing to introduce a redesigned iPad mini.

Check out the interesting render of the next iPad mini:

The new model should reportedly offer significantly thinner bezels around the display, a larger display and better performance. The mentioned display should even increase from the current 7,9″ to 8,4″, which is already a noticeable difference. This will be the biggest design change of the iPad mini ever. It should then be introduced this fall. Last September, by the way, a new iPad with a more powerful processor and a redesigned iPad Air, which for example got rid of the Home Button, were revealed to the world. Well-known leaker Jon Prosser recently came up with the fact that the iPad mini will take over the design from the larger Air model. According to his information, Touch ID will be moved to the power button (as with the Air), the device will be equipped with an Apple A14 chip and will receive a universal USB-C instead of a Lightning connector.

At the moment, of course, no one can say for sure what news and changes the iPad mini will come with. Anyway, we have to draw attention to the fact that the mentioned leaker Jon Prosser is not always completely accurate and many of his predictions simply do not work out for him. The mentioned changes still sound quite good and it certainly wouldn't hurt if Apple incorporated them into its smallest apple tablet.
