The planned activation of Fitbit by Google has not yet been completed, so Fitbit continues to release products in the classic way. And that means the upcoming release of the new Fitbit Charge 4 wristband. 9to5google got its hands on renders and other information ahead of time, so we can take a closer look at what the company is up to.

As you can see in the photos below, the design of the wristband is basically unchanged and is identical to the Charge 3 model from 2018. The display should have an OLED panel, you can notice a new style of dial that shows time, date and activity. The Fitbit logo is also present. In addition to touch control, it also got one button.

The bracelet itself is made of metal and is housed in a rubber strap that can be changed. On the back we see the classic setup, including the heart rate sensor and the SpO2 sensor. Below are the classic charging pins. For now, we know of two color combinations. And black and burgundy. The price of the new bracelet should be slightly higher than that of the Charge 3. In Great Britain, it is listed at 139 GBP, which translates to about 4 CZK.

And what news should Fitbit have prepared? First of all, Always on Display support, so the user will see the data on the display all the time and will not have to activate it with a gesture or a button. Another novelty should be NFC support, which is mainly suitable for contactless payments, similar to Apple Pay. The American company uses its own solution called Fitbit Pay, and the good news is that several banks in the Czech Republic support the service.
