On Saturday, the doors of the new Apple Store opened in Hangzhou, China, which is the largest of its kind in Asia to date. Another architectural gem is completely glass from the front and is very similar to the Apple Store, which is now also growing in San Francisco.

The West Lake Apple Store, named after a lake in Hangzhou, is the first of five stores Apple plans to open in China before the start of the Chinese New Year on February 19. The newest one in Hangzhou has everything you would expect from a modern Apple Store. Through the giant glass panels, we can see the division into two floors, in which we also find a Genius Bar and a special area for workshops and personal training.

Before the official opening, Apple held a special campaign where the building was covered with a white canvas on which calligrapher Wang Dongling hand-wrote the over two thousand-year-old Chinese poem "Praising West Lake in the Rain". On Friday, Apple also published an English version of the video, where he explains the story with the poem.
