On the occasion of Tuesday's Spring Loaded Keynote, we saw the presentation of the long-awaited iPad Pro. In its 12,9″ variant, it even received a brand new display called Liquid Retina XDR, which is based on mini-LED technology. The backlight is therefore taken care of by significantly smaller LEDs, which are also grouped into several zones to achieve the highest possible quality. This news brought with it one more change – the iPad Pro 12,9″ is now about 0,5 millimeters thicker.

This was reported by the foreign portal iGeneration, according to which this minor change means quite a lot. The portal obtained an internal document delivered to official Apple Stores, in which it is stated that due to the increase in size, the new Apple tablet will not be compatible with the previous generation Magic Keyboard. Fortunately, this does not apply to the 11″ variant. Although the difference is really minimal, it unfortunately makes it impossible to use the old keyboard. Apple users who want to buy a new iPad Pro 12,9″ with a mini-LED display will have to buy a new Magic Keyboard. It offers the aforementioned compatibility and is also available in white. However, we cannot find any difference compared to its predecessor.
