Unbox Therapy took a look at the unique masks from Apple

We recently informed you in our regular summary that the Californian giant, in connection with the current global pandemic of the disease COVID-19, has developed its own unique mask, which is intended for individual workers and employees of apple retail stores. The popular Unbox Therapy channel also took a look at the so-called Apple Face Mask. In his video, he unwrapped the original packaging and took a detailed look at the mask itself.

Stills from the video by Unbox Therapy:

At first glance, we can notice the quite interesting packaging, which of course does not lack the iconic inscription Designed by Apple in California. Each pack contains five reusable masks along with attachments for the best possible fit behind the ears. The package still contains detailed instructions for use, according to which users should first wash their hands thoroughly, then open the package with the mask and adapt the aforementioned attachments. The masks are made of three layers of high-quality fabric and are said to be significantly more comfortable than standard pieces.

And what about the lifespan of the product? One mask can be used up to five times, and it must be washed after eight hours of wear. Although it is not a certified medical accessory, the video test showed that the mask can cope with blocking the flow of air from the mouth. Of course, the Apple Face Mask is intended only for the mentioned workers and employees, and the public does not have access to them.

Apple bought podcast app Scout FM

The Californian giant has been constantly working on its service portfolio in recent years. This segment is very important for many companies in today's world, which Apple is of course aware of. According to various reports, he is also set to invest in his own Podcasts app. This year, he bought the podcast application Scout FM, thanks to which he could significantly expand the quality of the podcasts offered.

The website of the aforementioned Scout FM application is already out of order. Anyway, the program was available on iPhone, Android and Amazon's smart speakers. Scout FM generated a number of different podcast stations covering all sorts of topics and you could say it was a radio station concept but adapted for podcasts themselves. The user of the application could choose from a number of different topics and then enjoy listening. In short, the program went a little differently. Instead of offering a bunch of different podcast shows, it asked the user a few questions and generated the potentially best one based on the answers.

Apple CarPlay:

According to information from Bloomberg magazine, the Scout FM application was very popular among users mainly due to the fact that it was fully compatible with Apple CarPlay and understood well with the Alexa voice assistant. An Apple spokesperson also confirmed the acquisition of the Bloomberg application. So it's clear that the Californian giant is trying to invest in the quality of its native Podcasts app. For comparison, we can mention, for example, the competitor Spotify, which invests a significant amount of money in the aforementioned podcasts.
