Ever since Apple made ARkit available to developers, there have been many interesting demonstrations of what the new augmented reality system could provide users. Some demos are impressive, some are more interesting, and some are downright practical. Last demo presented ModiFace definitely belongs to the latter category. The only problem may be that only women will appreciate it.

ModiFace is a company that works in the beauty industry and its demo matches it. As you can see in the two videos below, they apply augmented reality for previews that show you how a particular beauty product will look on you. These particular demos include lipsticks, mascaras, and probably some makeup as well.

The plan is that you select a specific product in the app and it will be displayed on you in augmented reality. That's exactly how you'll see what suits you and what suits you. For men, this probably won't be a very attractive way to use augmented reality. On the contrary, for women, this application could literally be a blessing.

If the developers managed to get big companies and their products into their app, they would be sure of success. Both for success among customers and in terms of finances, as it would be a very interesting platform that as many manufacturers as possible would like to use. As it seems, the uses for ARkit are countless. I think we can really look forward to what the developers come up with.
