We got a new iPad already presented, but nevertheless you should also check out the rest of today's keynote, where Apple showed off the new Apple TV and iPhoto for iOS…

Journalists who were admitted to the Yerba Buena Center before 19:83 our time were welcomed in the hall by music from MXNUMX, Black Keys and Adele, which was an interesting change compared to previous events, at which Apple mostly played older authors such as the Rolling Stones or Bob Dylan. The tension in the hall was finally broken a few tens of seconds before the seventh hour by Tim Cook, who first thanked everyone for coming to San Francisco.

As the first topic, the CEO of Apple took a bite out of the post-PC era. An era in which, according to Cook, the PC is no longer the center of the digital world, but is just one device among many. According to Steve Jobs, Apple is the successor in this era with its products in the lead. The revolutionary iPod, iPhone and iPad defined a whole new category, with Cook admitting that any company would be thrilled to have at least one such product. iPods, iPhones and iPads are sold in such volumes that they account for more than three-quarters of the California company's revenue.

Important for their sales are the Apple Stores, of which Apple already has 362 around the world. Cook mentioned the newest one in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and then showed the audience a video of how a retail store was built in New York's Grand Central Station.

Another important key to success in the post-PC era is iOS. Apple sold a whopping 352 million devices with this mobile operating system, with 62 million sold in the last quarter alone. An integral part is also the App Store, from which 25 billion applications have already been downloaded. More than 200 apps are available for iPad in this app store.

The new Apple TV

Despite mentioning that series and movies in the iTunes Store will also be available in 1080p, Tim Cook got to the first new product - Apple TV. The new Apple TV will come with a redesigned user interface, support for 1080p video, iTunes Match and Photo Stream. The price of the new generation of Apple TV will remain the same, i.e. $99. It will be available next week.

New iPad

After a quick introduction of the new Apple TV, Tim Cook moved on to iPads. Apple sold 15,5 million of those in the last quarter alone, which is more than any PC manufacturer has sold. Cook then recapitulated how the iPad defined a whole new category and what a great product it actually is, after which he summoned Phil Schiller, who took charge of the very introduction of the new Apple tablet.

The new iPhoto for iOS

After the applause that gathered the new iPad, the applications got the word. Phil Schiller showed the updated iWork package, the new GarageBand and iMovie. There will be new 3D charts and animations in Numbers, and new transitions in Keynote, for example. GarageBand will offer a sheet music editor, iCloud and sharing, while iMovie has also received a new icon in addition to new editing tools. All updates should be available in the App Store today.

However, Apple has also prepared one completely new application - iPhoto for iOS, which everyone knows well from Macs. iPhoto will be used for editing photos - adding effects, editing, transferring between devices and creating a photo diary. The app can handle up to 19 megapixel images on the iPad, which Randy Ubillos immediately demonstrated. He showed those present in the hall how to adjust colors, the palette of brushes and the number of filters that you can use to improve photos. During the presentation, all the adjustments took place relatively smoothly and briskly. The new application from Apple's workshop also includes tools for exposure and saturation. Everything is of course controlled using intuitive multi-touch gestures.

iPhoto for iOS will be available today with a price tag of $4,99.
