Adam Kos Nothing is a master at launching new products, and they only have three to their credit so far. But it can create an aura of something incredible, yet affordable. At the same time, it clearly scores with form and design. We currently have his second model line of headphones here, which wants to be a competitor for AirPods.
Ear (1) were plugs that the company is putting against AirPods Pro (considering last year's release date rather 1st generation), Nothnig Phone (1) is an affordable but feature-rich smartphone with unique lighting effects. The third product in the line is another pair of headphones. Their charging case has a lipstick design (hence the name), but it lacks wireless charging and the headphones are "just" crap.
Design and durability
The design is again original, i.e. transparent. Inspired by the shape and function of lipsticks, the case features a unique yet functional twist opening. Even if you could easily mistake the earphones for the visual, the novelty lacks silicone extensions. For that reason, there is also no active noise cancellation present. But there is a 12,6mm dynamic driver. However, the shape of the earphone should dampen ambient noise more. It is also dust and water resistant with an IP54 rating, but it cannot take a shower.

The headphone battery can handle 7 hours of listening to music, 3 hours of phone calls. The case is a reservoir for 29 hours of listening and 12 hours of calls. It charges via USB-C. But if we look at the 3rd generation AirPods, they provide 6 hours of listening time and 4 hours of talk time, or 30 hours of listening time and 20 hours of talk time. 2nd generation AirPods then 5 hours of listening time, 3 hours of talk time, and up to 24 hours of listening time or 18 hours of talk time. Nothing lists support for Android 5.1 and later and iOS 11 and later.

Important software loops
Ear Sticks are supported by a number of additional software features. The new Bass Lock technology detects how much bass is lost depending on the shape and placement of the earphone in the ear canal, meaning it creates a better bass response. As with the Ear (1), Clear Voice technology is also integrated for better call quality, with intelligent algorithms that try to get the most out of your voice, even when there's a lot of noise around you. There's also a low-latency mode for games that starts automatically. You can then customize the gestures of the headphones in the application and set your preferred equalizer settings directly here.
It cannot be said that this is a technologically packed device. It is nice and original, but with the 3rd generation AirPods, the iPhone user will probably have a better experience, even with regard to surround sound and other functions that the Ear Stick lacks. But Nothing's solution is much cheaper. It will cost you only 2 CZK, while for the 999rd generation AirPods you will pay 3 CZK in the case of a charging case without MagSafe technology.
