Nilox Mini-F WIFI is the successor of the inexpensive Nilox Mini outdoor camera, which will not disappoint you. Its use is mainly found where the iPhone is not enough or where you would be worried about it. It can be skiing, swimming, snowboarding or other activities on snow, water or on the road. That's all Nilox Mini-F WIFI can handle thanks to the included case, which makes the camera resistant to falls, water, frost and other extreme conditions.

In the package, you will also find a number of additional holders for various camera attachments. You can then use the iPhone via the appropriate application to view recorded videos or photos. What is very interesting about the Mini-F WIFI model is the live view, or streaming of the image from the camera directly to the mobile even during recording, which is not seen in other similarly cheap models.

The price of the Nilox Mini-F WIFI is roughly half that of previously reviewed models F60 or F-60 EVO and that's what makes it the ideal camera for travel, vacations and similar leisure hobby activities, when you don't want to spend a lot of money to be able to capture various snapshots and great moments when you might be afraid to use your precious mobile or tablet. And precisely thanks to Wi-Fi support with the iOS application, it will significantly expand the capabilities of your iPhone.

The most fundamental shift compared to the previous generation can be seen in the higher resolution. From HD Ready, the camera went to today's commonly used Full HD, and also, as already mentioned, the function of live wireless preview and control via Wi-Fi using the iOS application was added.

The imaging capabilities of the camera have also advanced greatly. Compared to the Mini's predecessor, the image is much better, there are no sudden changes in exposure, i.e. lightening or darkening of the image when transitioning mainly from darker scenes to brighter ones.

You can see how the camera handled it in the video below with skateboarder Richard Tury. In the next video, we tested the Nilox Mini-F WIFI in practice ourselves.

Among the other parameters of the camera, we appreciate the waterproofing to a depth of 55 meters in the basic case, the shooting angle of the camera of 120 degrees and the battery life of the camera ranging from 90 minutes to 2 hours thanks to settings that help you save the battery. The aforementioned Wi-Fi significantly reduces battery life, so Nilox added support for a simple wireless controller with three buttons (turn on/take photos/record). Although it works more limitedly than Wi-Fi in terms of functions and range, it is pleasing as an alternative to energy guzzlers.

The Mini-F WIFI model does not have a rear display and takes eight-megapixel photos with a shooting speed of up to 10 frames per second, and camera control is simple and intuitive thanks to the small display. For slow-motion footage, you have a 60 FPS mode at 720p resolution, which is sufficient for use in sports activities.

What we also really appreciate, unlike similar cameras from other manufacturers, is the tripod screw in both the camera body and the plastic waterproof housing. So it doesn't force you to buy another important and expensive adapter to attach the camera to this stick. The package also includes a reduction to classic holders for action cameras.

The camera is also smaller compared to more expensive models or the competition and, as you have seen, it is not a problem to attach it to the bottom of the skateboard and get perfect non-traditional shots. Due to the absence of a display, the iOS application helped us with these shots as well.

The iOS app is very simple and also intuitive. You can use it to compose a shot where you can't estimate whether everything you need is in the shot. This is often difficult without a display. We were also pleasantly surprised by the constant transfer of video to the application while recording to the card, which is exceptional for such a cost-effective camera. So you won't see the image until you turn on recording.

After that, the preview on some cameras is interrupted and recording takes place only on the camera card. You can also see the battery status of the camera in the application, you can set the resolution in which you want to record to the card and you can change other settings - for example white balance, continuous shooting, etc. You can then view the photos and videos again on your iPhone or download them via Wi-Fi.

A camera is included in the basic package Nilox Mini-F WIFI, which costs 4 crowns, you get a waterproof case, a flat adhesive mount, a curved adhesive mount, a quick release buckle and a remote control. Thanks to the 8GB microSD card, which is also included in the package, you can start shooting with the camera right out of the box.

Nilox has shown with this camera that it is not necessary to have an expensive camera for 10 thousand, which will be unnecessarily large and heavy with a lot of functions that you will not use. If you buy this camera, you will be very pleasantly surprised by the image quality at a reasonable price.

In addition, the successor to the original Mini model is not only the Mini-F WIFI reviewed above, but also a cheaper variant Mini-F for 3 crowns. It lacks Wi-Fi (so it doesn't offer a live video preview), but it also offers a rear LCD display just for previewing.

We thank the store for lending the product Always.cz.
