When Apple introduced the replacement for the cutout in the display in the form of the Dynamic Island in the autumn of last year, many Apple fans were very interested in this element, as it was presented as a brand new way to interact with the iPhone. He then backed up his words with a number of different uses of Dynamic Island with native apps that seemed really cool, saying that app developers will also be able to work with the "island" to give users a new experience in controlling their apps. Half a year after the performance, however, the reality is completely different, which, paradoxically, was quite well expected.

Although Dynamic Island is undoubtedly an interesting element that makes it possible to control the iPhone very comfortably, which, after all, almost every owner of the 14 Pro or 14 Pro Max model must confirm, the huge catch is, however, in its widespread use. Its deployment on only two iPhones in Apple's offer is simply not enough to make it interesting for developers and they devote more of their time to it. Respectively, yes, some applications already offer support for Dynamic Island, but it arrived in them with a bit of exaggeration, more like a kind of by-product alongside a whole series of other upgrades. In short and well, it was not a priority. However, you can't really blame the developers, because the user base of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max is not so big that it would really push them to start supporting this feature. And when Apple's hand is not even hanging over them, the desire to innovate is even less.

After all, let's think back to 2017 and the arrival of the notch in the iPhone X display. Back then, it was a very similar situation, except that Apple gave a strict order to developers to adapt their apps to the notch display by a certain date, otherwise they would be threatened with the removal of the apps. And the result? The developers did come with updates by the set date, but they were usually not in a hurry with the updates, which is why Apple owners who own iPhone X still saw black bars on the top and bottom of the display for a few weeks after their release, which simulated the symmetrical display that was used in iPhones standard then.

iPhone 14 Pro: Dynamic Island

However, as was the case with the cutout and applications, Dynamic Island is already flashing back to better times. However, not because the user base of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max is growing steeply, but rather because all of this year's iPhones will get this feature, and given that last year's Pro series will still be available at least at authorized dealers for a while " will warm up", six iPhones with Dynamic Island will be available for some time. The user base of phones that will be able to use the interaction of applications with this element will therefore increase significantly, and developers simply will not be able to ignore it so easily, because if they did, it may well happen that an application will arrive in the App Store that will be in more advanced in this direction and thanks to that it will be able to drag users to them. With a bit of exaggeration, it can therefore be said that the real step into real life awaits Dynamic Island only from this fall.
