When Netflix introduced its Games platform on Android, it mentioned that it was preparing it for iOS as well. It only took a week and it's already available on iPhones and iPads. Although, of course, not in the same form as it is on the competing system. Even so, you can already play his first five games on Apple devices.

As the video streaming market matures, its distributors are looking for new entertainment options to provide their users. Netflix Games is the first such venture. The first five games aren't flashy or game-changing, but it's an important step that analysts expect Netflix to aggressively expand into over time. And maybe Apple Arcade can do that too. There is one major advantage here – the titles are free for Netflix subscribers. So far the following games are involved:

The games are available for download from the App Store when you are asked to sign in to your Netflix account when you first launch them. What is very interesting, however, is that here you have the option to register and make an In-App purchase and thus purchase a subscription to the streaming network directly from the title. This is interesting because its parent application has not offered this since 2018, when Netflix removed this option in order to avoid paying a 15 to 30% commission to Apple for each transaction made. If you confirm the subscription here, you will pay CZK 259 per month.

Maybe the future of Netflix Games

App Store rules currently prevent game streaming, as well as the presence of an alternative store on iOS and iPadOS platforms. But in the case of Netflix, it doesn't matter too much, because this form of gaming is not streamed in any way. Each game must be installed on the device and runs locally. However, analysts expect that Netflix will really try to stream games on the server side in the future, but then it will also face considerable problems regarding availability on iPhones and iPads, because Apple will not allow it.

He too may have to switch to a similar solution offered by other streaming platform providers, such as Microsoft and Google, who do so within web browsers. And what games can we look forward to in the future? Various clones of Squid Game have already appeared on Android. And since it is an extreme hit that has already been confirmed for a second season, it can be expected that Netflix will want to exploit it accordingly.
