The company introduced a lot of new things as part of its Peek Performance event. Except for green iPhones 13 and 13 Pro and iPhone SE 3rd generation, iPad Air 5th generation and the brand new Mac Studio and Studio Display. At the same time, Apple has a habit of starting the pre-sale of new products right after the end of the event, or even on Friday of the given week, when the news will be presented. And it causes a lot of problems unnecessarily.

Pre-sales of the company's new products ran until March 18, when their sharp sales started. That is, one where pre-orders could already be delivered to customers and the products in question could be bought in brick-and-mortar stores. But Apple struck again. He came across the fact that he wanted to show the world something great at a time when he is not ready to meet the demand for the devices in question.

For iPhones, supplies are stable

Last year, it was no different with the iPhone 13 generation, as the market stabilized just before Christmas. The iPhone SE is not one of those who knows what sales blockbusters. It sells well, but people certainly don't tear their hands at Apple for it. Its availability in the Apple Online Store is so exemplary. You order today, you will have it at home tomorrow. It doesn't matter what color variant you want and what storage size you want.

But it is true that Apple has been "cutting" this model on the production line for 5 years, so it would be rather surprising if it could not meet the demand for it. But it is also true that the iPhone 13 (mini) and iPhone 13 Pro (Max) are still available, even in their new green colors. You order today, tomorrow you have a new iPhone at home. This also applies to the new iPad Air.

Even three months

So last fall, Apple introduced the new iPhones 13 and 13 Pro to a world still reeling from supply chain disruptions as well as the chip crisis. Demand thus exceeded production capacity, and new models reached customers very slowly. Today, however, the situation is more stabilized, so it is rather surprising how much availability the remaining news presented at the Keynote is.

If you order today, you will have to wait until April 1 to 14 for the Mac Studio with the M26 Max chip. If you go for a higher configuration with the M1 Ultra chip, the novelty will be delivered to you from May 9 to 17. If you still want to customize the device, expect a "waiting time" of 10 to 12 weeks. You will then have to wait an average of 8 to 10 weeks for the new Studio Display. The question is why?

When we got the new 24" iMac last year, Apple also started selling it soon after the presentation, but then it was unable to satisfy the demand. Today, it already has such stocks that you can order today and have a computer at home tomorrow. But perhaps the shareholders and perhaps Apple itself is putting too much demand on itself for supplies, while perhaps underestimating demand. Although neither Mac Studio nor Studio Display can be expected to be huge.

It's just that as soon as they introduce the new product, they have to start selling it immediately. Or at least pre-sell. Whoever pre-orders earlier can also enjoy the new machine earlier. On the one hand, users may be upset that they have to wait, on the other hand, the appropriate hype is created around the device, and that is also quite desirable.
