In its Apple Online Store, Apple has a fairly clear strategy for how it sells old devices with respect to the release of their newer generations. But if you don't want to spend money on the current ones because you're satisfied with the older ones, you won't find them in his store anymore. However, this does not mean that other e-shops and brick-and-mortar stores do not offer them.

iPhones

In the Apple Online Store you will find a fairly wide portfolio of its iPhones. Of course, there is the iPhone 13, 13 Pro, but also the one-year-old iPhone 12, the two-year-old iPhone 11 and also the 2nd generation iPhone SE. However, if you had a crush on the iPhone 12 Pro, then specifically Apple removed it from its portfolio with the arrival of the 11s. The same fate befell the iPhone XR, which was replaced in the menu by the iPhone XNUMX.

Given the current pre-Christmas season and the amount of Black Friday discounts, it's worth buying them now, but that doesn't mean they won't be available after Christmas. It is these "retired" models that sellers will offer at least until Apple introduces the next generation of this device. In the case of phones, the iPhone 14. If we then get the iPhone SE of the 3rd generation, you will certainly get the second one as part of such a distribution for a while.

Apple Watch

The Series 3 is an exception in this case, as the company still keeps this smartwatch model in its portfolio due to its affordability, even though this watch is clearly aimed at low-end users. With some respect, the same can be said for the Apple Watch SE, which was introduced alongside the Series 6 and is still officially offered by the company. It's safe to say that when Apple cuts the Series 3, the SE model will take their place.

We currently have the Series 7 as the latest model, while the Apple Online Store no longer offers the option to buy the Series 6, which is only a year old model. But there are plenty of them across e-shops and brick-and-mortar stores, of course at a more favorable price than what a new Series 7 watch costs. You can still get a Series 5 in various sales, although you have to look for them. Also, not all of their variants are available, which is exactly the difference compared to the Series 6, which will definitely be available until the Series 8 is introduced.

iPad

Since the iPad does not yet have an SE series at Apple, the company will automatically stop selling the old one with each new iPad generation. Whether it's the standard model that comes out every year, the mini, Air or Pro models. Currently, however, the situation is quite infamous, at least as far as the basic model is concerned, which is sold out not only at Apple, but also at other distributions. If you would then like to reach for the previous generation, i.e. the 8th, you can get it, but at a disproportionately high price, which is only a few hundred crowns lower than in the case of the new 9th generation.

The 6th generation iPad mini then brought a new bezel-less design modeled after the iPad Air, but you can still get its previous 5th generation with a desktop button. But the basic variants are rather sold out and if you don't want to wait, you have to dig deeper into your pocket and buy either a version with Cellular or a higher internal storage. However, once the market stabilizes from the Christmas rush, they can be expected to be back in stock normally.
