In early 2017, Apple closed one of its most iconic stores. It is located on 5th Avenue in New York and the goal of the closure was a planned renovation that will offer customers a larger area. It will grow from the current 2973 square meters to an astronomical 7154 square meters.

John Powers, CEO of Boston Properties, said that they and Apple do not yet know the exact reopening date, but it should most certainly be in the first half of this year. Angela Ahrenstvová, Apple's head of retail, said at a keynote in 2017 that the store would be open by the end of 2018. As we all know, Apple unfortunately failed to meet the promised deadline, but the renovation should be all the more beneficial.

So it will be a huge apple store that really has a lot to offer. There is talk of a special room that will be dedicated to Beats brand products, a Genius Grove, which is a section where there are live trees along with a Genius Bar, or a Today at Apple event room, which is a session where people come to learn photography, programming or create music.

Although Apple has yet to announce an official opening date for the renovated 5th Avenue store, some sources say its doors will open in conjunction with the show new iPads in March.
