Magazine Quartz recently analyzed Apple Music and its Beats 1 station to find out which artists are the most played ever and which songs are playing the most on global streaming radio. All data are taken for the month of July. The company collected data from a total of 12 songs and found that The Weeknd, Drake and Disclosure were the most played artists during that period.

The Weeknd also dominated the most streamed song section with the hit "Can't Feel My Face." This song was played a total of 107 times in the month of July. He was joined by other artists with their songs such as Selena Gomez and "Good For You (feat. A$AP Rocky)", Beck and "Dreams" and more.

Among the most popular music genre then according to Quartz it includes hip-hop (1 plays), alternative music (726 plays) and electronic music (1 plays).

Other news within Apple Music also includes a separate section for the archive of shows that run daily on Beats 1. In Beats 1 Replay, in addition to the shows of the three main DJs, you will also find shows by Elton John and others. So if you don't catch them live (or after 12 hours in a replay), you can watch individual shows backwards, although not with all the advantages, such as saving the currently playing songs, etc.

The Beats 1 show archive can be found in the "New" section of Apple Music, and includes shows from headline DJs Zane Lowe, Julia Adenuga and Ebro Darden, as well as guest stars led by Dr. Dream or Ellie Goulding. It looks like Apple wants to play the biggest hits the next week after they air as "This Week's Replay".

Interestingly, if you try to search for "Beats 1 Replays" in the Apple Music search engine, you won't find anything. You need to search for specific show titles, which will then appear in the top results.
