Would you like to make someone happy for Christmas who likes the world of Philips Hue smart products, but you don't know much about it? Does not matter. In the following lines, we will try to give you some tips on Hue products that make sense in every situation and that you will probably never go wrong by donating.
A starter set, or you have to start somehow
Admiring a certain product is a nice thing, but if you don't get involved in buying it and thus taking your passion to the next level, it won't bring much fun. So if you have someone around you who is fascinated by Hue, but has not yet been kissed, the best gift for them will be an imaginary ticket to this world. The great thing is that it is not too expensive, so almost everyone can afford it. We are specifically referring to the Philips Hue White 9W E27 Starter Kit, which contains three dimmable bulbs, one switch and the Bridge, which is the brain of the entire system and without which your "Christmas goal" would not be complete in the future. It is with this set that he can start his construction of the smart home that he has been dreaming of until now.
Hue HDMI Sync Box - improve your TV viewing experience
If your loved one likes to watch TV, but does not have a model from Philips with ambient lighting, you could please them with a "box" that can be used to deliver it to any TV. Specifically, we are talking about the Philips Hue HDMI Sync Box, which connects to the television and video outputs (for example, Apple TV, game console, etc.) with the fact that it processes these outputs and controls the Hue lighting that you pair with the Box according to them. Whether it is an adhesive Hue LED strip or Hue lights next to the TV, thanks to the Sync Box, the lighting around the TV will be colored to correspond with the image on it and thus enhance the overall viewing and gaming experience. I have to say that I had this particular product for a review at home a few months ago and it really impressed me, because for example console gaming got a new dimension thanks to it.

Hue LED strips with extension - there are never enough light chains
Who wouldn't like LED strips that can be stuck on practically anything and with which anything can be illuminated, illuminated or illuminated in an interesting way. And precisely because of their versatility, it is absolutely clear that you will not spoil absolutely anything by donating them, because honestly, a true Philips Hue fan is constantly thinking about how he would improve his home, even with the help of LED strips. So if you give it to him "in stock", you can bet that it won't stay unglued for long, because your loved one will very quickly find a great (at least according to him) use for it. The positive thing is that even this "universal gift" can be found at a really generous price. For example, a set of a basic LED strip with a length of 2 meters together with a meter extension comes out to a very solid 2389 CZK.

Hue GO - give the gift of light
Honestly, the Philips Hue range is actually primarily about light. It is probably not ideal to give a light bulb as a gift, but why not please with a nice, stylish and above all functional light or lamp? After all, there are never enough of them, and one can almost always find a good place for them that is worth shedding light on. In this case, a really great choice is the Hue GO v2, which stands out both with its great design and, of course, full compatibility with HomeKit at a very reasonable price. This is set at 2199 CZK, which is an amount that you can easily pay even for nice "stupid" lamps.
Flic 2 Starter Kit - indulge in "different" control
Philips makes really nice switches for their lights, but they can't be used everywhere. Fortunately, however, there is no problem with setting up control via other switches, one of the most interesting of which is Flic. These are minimalistic buttons of miniature dimensions that can be stuck practically anywhere and with which HomeKit can then be controlled easily, quickly and efficiently. The recipient can set the buttons, for example, so that when they are pressed after sitting on the couch, the lights in the living room automatically turn off. Well isn't that great?
Why are you cramming an incompatible Flic in there when there is a perfect hub-connectable Hue Button??
Somehow I can't get rid of the impression that it's a decent word to write :-)
These are definitely not acceptable prices. Perhaps the price the author received for this advertising article was acceptable. Otherwise the products are great. But if you want to create ambient lighting behind a TV of another brand, for example LG, then you need the following things, which in total make quite a mess.
Hue Sync Box - it works on the HDMI input, which means that you can have a color show from a PlayStation or some set-top box. If you want to expand with Netflix, voyo, etc., Chromecast is the best choice. You also need the Hue Bridge. You can't get the joke going without it. And finally the Hue light source. Either it can be at least two Hue panels or they sell tapes in sizes directly behind the TV. But Hue bulbs will work too. So at least 15 thousand. The new Philips 55 TV with ambilight costs 25 on Alza today. So, I guess.
