A week has passed since the start of the survey about your 10 most popular iPhone applications, so it's time to evaluate the entire survey. If you want to know which iPhone applications Czech and Slovak iPhone users like the most, then continue reading the article.

Almost every second iPhone user Facebooks and reads books
The clear winner was the iPhone application Facebook, which received major improvements in the latest version 3.0 and is a really cool piece. Every other person nominated her in the poll (she received 24 votes out of a total of 47 user opinions). The placement of the Facebook application in the first place is not a big surprise.

The surprise for me was the location of the ebook reader, the iPhone application Stanza, ranked second in this poll. But Stanza is definitely the best solution for readers on the iPhone, so it deserves second place. On the creators' website, you can also download a desktop application for easy import of ebooks to the iPhone.

Twitter - the big battle of iPhone clients
The social network Twitter does not have an official iPhone application like Facebook, and the competition in this field is really huge. This was also reflected in our poll, in which no dominant favorite appeared.

Among the three most popular are Echofon (formerly called Twitterphone), twitterific a Tweetie. The first two named clients also have free versions, Tweetie does not have its free version and this could be reflected in the survey. But I can recommend all three Twitter apps for the iPhone.

Instant Messaging and VoIP iPhone applications (ICQ, MSN, Skype, etc..)
Instant Messaging is still very popular among users and this was also reflected in our survey. The clear winner was the iPhone application IM + with 13 votes. It is a very high-quality application, but its dominance was also caused by the fact that it is also available in the Appstore in a free version, which is more than enough for many people. With a great distance also appears BeejiveIM (paid multi-protocol IM, similar to paid IM+) and the ICQ application, the official client of the company of the same name.

People who prefer Skype (and VoIP in general) don't have much to deal with, for them official is the clear winner Skype application. But some prefer alternatives in the form of Fring or Nimbuzz, which also handle other protocols, such as ICQ.

The most popular iPhone application from Czech authors
The application became clearly the most popular application from Czech developers O2TV, which serves as a television program. Some prefer Seznam TV for the same purpose, but the application from Seznam has obviously not become so well-known and popular.

The app became the second most popular app Dictionary by AppsDevTeam developers. A simple application for translation into Czech caught his attention. Other applications mentioned at least three times include MoneyDnes, Play.cz and the OnTheRoad application. OnTheRoad is among the most promising startups that can attract attention on a global scale, and although you don't need this application on a daily basis, some have remembered it anyway.

Maps and GPS on iPhone or when Google Maps is not enough
In this case, you named iPhone navigation the most (9 votes). Navigon. Therefore, if a Czech or Slovak user chooses navigation, he usually buys Navigon navigation. After all, we can find this result confirmed in the ranking on the Appstore. So users not only buy this navigation, but it also belongs to their favorite applications.

But you can also use GPS on the iPhone in other ways. The application was named a lot MotionX GPS, which users probably use most often during cycling trips or tourism. For example, you can plan a trip on your computer and then implement it with your iPhone. I must not forget the official Geocaching client for the activity of the same name. Recently, this discipline has been very popular across generations.

To-do lists - let's organize our time better with iPhone applications
The winner in this category (but only by 1 vote) was the iPhone application Things, which is excellent to control and looks great. But Things is mainly preferred by Mac users because of the great desktop Mac application. Perhaps that's why Things' victory wasn't exactly convincing, with a feature-packed app hot on its heels To do from Appigo, which also supports push notifications, for example. You can try ToDo in the free version.

Manage RSS on iPhone?
There was no favorite here and people use different apps. Only two applications achieved an interesting result, Byline (synchronisable with Google Reader) and Free RSS Reader. You can read about Byline in our review. If you are looking for a reader synchronized with Google Reader, Byline is not a bad choice.

Weather or unit conversion?
No one dominated these categories, but AccuWeather or WeatherPro were often named in the weather. You like to convert units, for example, in the ConvertBot application (perhaps because it was free for a while) or in the relatively new and excellently usable Convert application for quick conversion.

Saving notes on iPhone? So you are clear about that
You use an excellent application for saving notes, whether text, audio or from the camera Evernote. Notes from Evernote are stored on Evernote servers, and thanks to the web interface or desktop applications for all platforms, you always have your notes with you.

As for small notes, especially a shopping ticket, you have also chosen a clear favorite here in terms of form ShopShop. Its strength is its simplicity and speed. You never have to look for paper and a pen again, just have your iPhone with you.

Another very popular iPhone application
Shazam – used to recognize song names. Just stand with your iPhone near the radio, for example, record a piece of a song, and then Shazam will recognize the name of the song for you. Unfortunately, the application is not in the CZ&SK Appstore, so you have to get a US account to download it.

Camera Geniuss – an application designed for taking pictures and with more options for settings, for example including digital zoom or protection against shocks.

Instapaper – if you have read an article on the web in Safari or any (supported) application, there is nothing easier than saving this article for offline reading in Instapaper. Ideal for reading longer articles on the subway, for example.

Remote – iTunes remote control

Wifitrak – improved search for WiFi networks

1Password – saving passwords, popular especially among Mac users thanks to the desktop Mac application

Skyvoyager – planetarium in iPhone. It appeared here mainly because it was free for a while

Wikipanion – an excellent application for viewing Wikipedia

GPush – push notifications for Gmail

Occasions – tracking friends' birthdays or anniversaries, push notifications support
