Practically everyone has encountered a situation when a strange number rang on their phone. In such a case, we are often faced with the dilemma of whether it is a telemarketer or a person who can enthusiastically offer you financial services. Frankly, not everyone is always in the mood for such calls and would prefer to avoid them altogether. In addition, calls related to telemarketing or various frauds have been increasing recently. Fortunately, there is a solution to conveniently avoid them.

In such a case, it is appropriate to reach for software that can block or warn of inappropriate numbers, behind which people from the mentioned telemarketing, financial services and the like can hide. Fortunately, there are several options and it is practically up to you which one you choose. Therefore, in this article, we will shed light on the best apps to block spam calls.

Pick it up?

A simple application is perhaps the most popular among Czech apple growers Pick it up? It has its own extensive database of more than 31 inappropriate numbers, thanks to which it can immediately inform you whether the calling number is safe, neutral or downright negative and why. In particular, the application can immediately identify unknown calling numbers, lost calls from unknown numbers in the history, automatically block annoying calls if necessary or create your own block list. Of course, there is also the possibility to report annoying numbers.

At the same time, the application emphasizes user privacy and therefore does not even require access to contacts. We must also not forget to mention that it works even without an internet connection. Simplicity is the key to the app. Once you install and activate it, you practically don't have to worry about anything anymore. With each incoming call, you will see an icon under the caller's number and a description informing about the potential result (positive, neutral, negative), thanks to which you immediately know whether it is worth taking the call. In addition, as we indicated above, you can even automatically block these potentially dangerous numbers. In this case, it may be blocking all numbers from the software database, blocking numbers reported by you, or a combination of both.

Application Pick it up? it is paid and will cost you CZK 99 in the App Store. Personally, however, I have to admit that in terms of price/performance, it is a perfect investment that can pay off handsomely. For a smaller fee, you get the perfect tool against annoying spam calls. At the same time, it is a purely Czech application, by purchasing which you support the developers themselves.

Don't call

Another Czech application for blocking unwanted calls is Don't call. Again, this is a relatively successful tool with a database of more than 18 numbers. As for the actual functioning, in this respect the programs Do not call and Pick it up? extremely similar. Once installed, just activate the software within the number blocking system and you're practically done. Subsequently, the application automatically alerts you to potentially unsolicited calls in the form of a brief description, which is always located under the caller's number.

The main benefit of this solution is that it is available completely free of charge. You can download the application for free directly from the App Store and start using it right away. In the same way, there is also the possibility of reporting own numbers, which can then be added to the overall database, which will result in the improvement of the application as such.

Numbo

As the last application, we will present it here Numbo: Who's Calling? Can I Pick Up? At its core, it's the same software that can reliably identify unsolicited calls from telemarketing, financial services, robocalls, spam, and more. The main advantage of this solution, however, lies in the extensive database, which includes over 52 numbers. So, this makes it the software with the largest database from our list. Of course, in addition to caller identification or possible blocking, there is also the option of tracing the phone number, which you can use in case you are considering calling back. The app can even filter text messages based on keywords.

Although the application appears to be available for free, there is a minor catch - in the free version, you can only try the software, and only for three days. If you would like to use its full potential and have access to a personalized list of reported numbers or the entire database, then you will need to upgrade to the Premium version. The full version will cost you CZK 409 per month.
