Many users complain that after switching to iOS 4, synchronization with the Google Exchange server does not work for them, and thus they do not have synchronized contacts, calendars or emails. But the problem is not in iOS 4!
You will try in vain to switch to an older iPhone OS, it will not save you from problems. The problem is quite simple, yesterday millions of users switched to iOS 4 and a large percentage of them use the Google Exchange server to synchronize mail, contacts and calendars. And Google simply cannot handle this rush of users.
This problem was acknowledged by Google employees in their discussion forum. Google is now working hard to stabilize this service. We believe that Google will manage to fix these problems as soon as possible and the synchronization will work flawlessly again.
If you haven't heard about synchronization with Google Exchange yet, I recommend you read the article Everything you need to know about (Push) synchronization of Google calendar and contacts. I recommend waiting at least until tonight to set up Google Exchange.
me.com doesn't have such problems ;) even though it's a fact that I also have my contacts on Google just to be sure, but the main sync doesn't take place there ;)
Me.com doesn't have nearly as many users…
well, I'm just painting it, how is it...
In that case, I'll wait, anyway thanks for the info :)
Today I noticed it on the calendar, but I didn't attach any importance to it, I thought there was a problem with my Wi-Fi, lately our network has been a little rough... So thanks for the info, I believe that Google will stabilize the service soon, it's temporarily limited :)
I haven't been able to update yet, because my backup won't run out during the update. And it works normally. Does anyone know what to do with it? Thanks
Everything is OK with the corporate exchange after switching to iOS4 (contacts, calendar, mail - push). iPhone 3G
Thanks for the information, I've already started thinking about switching to the email list :-D
That would be a big shame :D
so it works now
It's not only Google that has problems, a while ago I saw a message on the AppStore saying that people are waiting to activate their iPhones, that the systems are running out of time :)
gmail exchange has been running without problems since around 13:00 p.m.
well, I still have a problem with calendars, then I don't want to synchronize "other calendars", "my calendars" are probably ok.
It was a pretty good morning... I was glad that all the contacts were caught overnight and when I got to work, they were all deleted from the phone again :)
I set up exchange google and in an hour 20% of the battery is gone.
what's wrong with me
I also have me.com on my iPhone and there is no problem with that.
try data Reset network settings in General settings.. I don't know what it's called exactly, but you'll definitely find it :)
I have a new os4 on a 3G iPhone and synchronization works in one direction only, with Google to the phone, but not the other way around. I tried setting it up via CaiDAV http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=151674 even through the classic http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138740&topic=14252. and advice only one direction.
Please help…
and if my phone cuts out and I can't even reset anything and I have to keep it on the charger for at least 2 hours, what should I do?
