The long-awaited iPhone game Need for Speed Undercover has finally appeared on the Appstore. Need for Speed was supposed to be released sometime at the end of last year, but EA kept postponing the game. I was expecting NFS to come out with the premium Appstore opening in March, but that hasn't been confirmed.
In the game you will come across 20 sports cars. Throughout the game you will be accompanied by a story that is not made in the game engine, but as is typical for NFS, it is a cinematic sequence. After winning races, you can cool down your racer. In total, you will fight here in 8 game modes.
NFS on the iPhone is controlled using an accelerometer, and someone will surely be annoyed by the lack of, for example, the option of calibration. Only braking, nitro or speedbreaker are controlled by touch. Of course, this is an arcade, so don't expect a simulator. Anyway, from the graphics to the sounds to the gameplay, I have to rate Need For Speed for iPhone very positively. And how do you like it?

I bought it this morning and played it for a while. Graphics, music and everything like on PSX, so maximum satisfaction. There's really no reason to tweak the accelerometer, I've never played a game with such good controls. It really reacts sensitively and intuitively. I give 4 stars for now, we'll see what the story and the game will do next.
The controls are really perfect and simple. I play it on an iPod Touch 2g and it runs perfectly smooth. Car tuning is also very successful and there are enough parts, there is only one body kit, maybe another one will appear in a later stage of the game. So far I have nothing to complain about.
I just played 2 missions and the verdict is clear: the best seduction game on mobile I've ever played/seen, I'm glad they didn't rush it and made it a better game than on WM ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5Klthj6yVI ) although I know that after 2 plants it's a bold statement, but it just can't go wrong :)
and I don't mind the calibration at all, it's not too sensitive and not the other way around, they managed to find the golden mean
Next, the best factories for the iPhone (Touch) were Fastlane. I'm currently downloading NFS, so I'm wondering if it will be better. :-)
clearly the best iPhone factories. perfect control.
Maneuverability, graphics, game options - plant types, car modification options... this game is unique in its category for iPhone/iPod Touch.
The only point I would point out is the short storyline.
I have a question about one of the parts of the game - I'm chasing a guy down the street and I'm supposed to push him off the road... I have no idea how to do it... help! pls! Thanks
