The long-awaited iPhone game Need for Speed Undercover has finally appeared on the Appstore. Need for Speed was supposed to be released sometime at the end of last year, but EA kept postponing the game. I was expecting NFS to come out with the premium Appstore opening in March, but that hasn't been confirmed.

In the game you will come across 20 sports cars. Throughout the game you will be accompanied by a story that is not made in the game engine, but as is typical for NFS, it is a cinematic sequence. After winning races, you can cool down your racer. In total, you will fight here in 8 game modes.

NFS on the iPhone is controlled using an accelerometer, and someone will surely be annoyed by the lack of, for example, the option of calibration. Only braking, nitro or speedbreaker are controlled by touch. Of course, this is an arcade, so don't expect a simulator. Anyway, from the graphics to the sounds to the gameplay, I have to rate Need For Speed for iPhone very positively. And how do you like it?
