Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin has revealed a few details about Sony Pictures' upcoming Steve Jobs movie. In recent weeks, there has been talk mainly about casting the main role and the post of director, but Sorkin refused to respond to speculations about Leonardo DiCaprio or Danny Boyle...

A short interview with Sorkin from the Tribeca Film Festival was carried by the magazine Mashable, to which the screenwriter of the film The Social Network revealed that the Steve Jobs film will feature the protagonist as both a hero and an anti-hero.

"It's not a biography, it's not the story of Steve Jobs, it's something quite different," revealed Sorkin, who has also been applauded by audiences in recent years for writing the acclaimed series The Newsroom. "He's a fascinating person—part hero, part antihero," says Sorkin. The film, according to his script, should start shooting this fall and will consist of three parts, focusing on the introduction of the iPod, NeXT and Macintosh. But otherwise, Sorkin tried to remain secretive.

"I don't want to say too much now. I don't want to break any news or make it feel like I approached the film in a different way," Sorkin was apparently referring to speculation about Danny Boyle as a potential director and Leonardo DiCaprio (both pictured below) as a potential Steve Jobs. Recently the variant with the pair David Fincher, Christian Bale fell, and so they talk about other alternatives. “I'll let the film speak for itself,” reports Sorkin, adding, “It's up to the audience to judge whether it's going to be good or not. Film Steve Jobs however, it is one of the few where I wrote what I wanted. That's an incredibly satisfying feeling.”

The script for the film is already ready, filming is to start this autumn, but for now at least two key positions are not filled - the already mentioned director and the actor in the main role. No release date has been set.
