Unlocking a Mac is not a lengthy matter. But the truth is that unlocking with the help of Touch ID or Apple Watch can save you some time after all. But what if you don't want to enter a password to unlock your Mac, but your model doesn't have Touch ID or you don't have an Apple Watch? The Near Lock application can help you in this direction. It is a small, unobtrusive, seemingly unnecessary, but useful tool that allows you to unlock your Mac easily and quickly with the help of your iPhone.

The Near Lock application uses Bluetooth connectivity and a corresponding application that you install on your iPhone to function. If you move your smartphone far enough away from your Mac, the computer will automatically lock. When you get within a certain distance, your iPhone will ask you if you want to unlock your Mac, and you'll simply confirm the unlock if necessary. You can also use Near Lock in the free version, but it does not work in the background. The PRO version will cost you 99 crowns once.
