If you don't need to have the entire map of Europe on your iPhone, but the area of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland would be enough for you, then the new NDrive iPhone navigation could be the right one.
NDrive is a new addition to the iPhone navigation family with the Czech Republic. However, NDrive decided to create a package that I'm sure many of you wanted - for the price of €39,99, it offers a map of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Certainly a large enough area for many users. There is also a Czech localization, unfortunately the Slovak one was somehow forgotten.
NDrive uses Tele Atlas maps, which is certainly very good news for many. I have another great news for the owners of phones with lower memory capacity, as the NDrive navigation for this area only takes up 165MB! And the third great news is that in the NDrive tooltip in iTunes, you'll find that by purchasing a license you're buying lifetime updates to the latest maps. In the near future, I will try to take a look at this navigation and write a review. Of course, the authors are aware of some shortcomings compared to competitors, but their approach intrigued me, because they want to hear feedback and will continue to improve the navigation.
Even now, however, the NDrive iPhone navigation offers a lot of functions, be it important buildings in 3D, warning of radars, multi-touch gestures when working with the map, an optimized environment for easier entry of addresses or iPod integration. There is also the so-called Adventures mode, where you can try navigation during off-road trips or hiking in the mountains. The price of €39,99 is only an event until the end of November, it is not yet known how much the navigation will be sold for later. So if you like the app, you better hurry up with your purchase.

Am I missing something here? I still have 3.0 :-D
I've already downloaded it about 10 times, but it always says Error 0.1Mb before the end... Well JB!
Hey guys, you got the topic and thread wrong ;-)
But I have practical impressions of this navigation, here they are…..
At first glance, it is a graphically very good software, offering quite a lot of options for functions and settings. But a second look will reveal certain "inconsistencies", namely the absence of features commonly available in the competition alongside unusual or less widespread ones. And the third look, or practice if you prefer, only confirms this embarrassment. And that there is already something to compare it with. If you want this version with pictures, here it is http://forum.iphone.cz/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=21472&p=186811#p186811
NDrive offers 100% screen functionality (like Sygic or CoPilot), so you don't see the upper status bar with some pretty important data, clearly a shortcoming. Before choosing your own navigation, a menu of only four options stops you, at first glance there are a large number of functions in the settings, e.g. volume (too much hidden in the menu for my taste, Navigon and especially TT have it much better - one tap on the bottom bar for me the volume setting pops up), but actually the ratio.
You can navigate to a fairly large selection of offers, including coordinates or postcodes (disappointment in these options, after entering the postcode it only offers a fraction of the streets in a given radius, maybe it works better in the UK, but the function is useless here), there is a complete lack of navigation on contacts. Here you will probably meet the keyboard for the first time, which unfortunately has its own keyboard (but not as intelligent as iGO, which in turn only offers a selection of letters that can be used further, the other keys are non-functional). Route simulation is completely missing. I didn't discover the waypoints either.
With a set route, the selection in the menu is considerably larger. The 3D view is interesting in that it offers not only the classic zoom with the plus and minus buttons, but thanks to the "curves" in the left part, you can also set the viewing angle within a certain range. But here's another stumbling block, I couldn't find a 2D view... It probably replaces the increase in that angle to some extent, but not much. Using the iPhone display by zooming with two fingers (multitouch) is quite unfortunate in this case, and the criticized sliding bar of Sygic is definitely more usable. 3D buildings probably won't surprise anyone, but they're certainly not the most important thing.
Another big disappointment is the delay of the arrow, subjectively a little better than TomTom, but you won't get the quality of iGO or even Navigon. The next chapter is voice guidance, you can probably get used to it, but the others have it more logically (after all, you don't turn left on the South Junction, others logically say "keep to the left", here it prompts you to turn), but the highlight was when I was less than 50 m before the turn, it says "turn after a hundred meters". The orientation in the lanes also remained hidden to me (so apparently it is not). From other functions – display of a dot (lined with a light circle) as in iGO (this dot shows the current position as the navigation received it from the GPS chip), a stably displayed GPS signal indicator. The integration into the iPhone's own system is therefore quite tragic, or perhaps rather unfortunate (TomTom, iGO and Navigon are much further in this regard). There are a few more details that I haven't revealed, we'll see in time…
Conclusion? A Czech proverb says "I am not rich enough to buy cheap things". If you want navigation, definitely pay extra, you'll have less to worry about. Thanks to the TeleAtlas maps, I was hoping it would be an alternative to TomTom, but alas. TomTom (still lacking an official version with CZ maps), despite the long delay of the arrow, still offers the most logical and easiest control, iGO is good for toys (but with the necessity of JB), Navigon offers the most balanced navigation with good features (functionally, logically, graphically... ..) for the common user. CoPilot is loaded with features, but I have no other experience with it, Sygic in the latest version apparently did not convince of a significant improvement (at least no one has confirmed this, I myself have not tried it yet). At this moment, I am not dealing with the price of individual sws, everyone has to justify this for themselves (if you are interested, everything is nicely put together here – http://forum.iphone.cz/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=19771).
Just a correction, sorry, I don't know how I got there, the status line, it's actually there, but it's mostly not in the screenshots on the net...
it's karlos... well, I always have this problem when a new update comes out, it's probably because a lot of people download it, because it's always fine the next day after the update comes out and it downloads without problems, so I always prefer to wait a day or two and not have to have fun :)
Makavelli: 3.1 sen download now on Sunday, it wasn't 3.1.2 yet
As part of objectivity, even after today I have to add that the Sygic navigation got far ahead of TomTom in terms of delay (the illogical bouncing of the arrow forwards and mainly backwards remained)... So in this respect, TT, despite a number of positives, is the worst navigation on the market...
what about the tourist mod? is it usable everywhere for cycling?
ERT > This will add a compass to the surface and still show a line (as the crow flies) to the destination. Nothing more, nothing less.
NDrive for iPhone4:
It sucks, does anyone know how to update the map? After 1/2 year there is still no new Prague circuit!!! He was in TT long before the opening!!
Thank you.
