It wasn't a surprise because everyone expected it Apple will introduce a four-inch phone on Monday. At first glance, it is nothing more than an internally improved iPhone 5S, but for Apple at the same time, the iPhone SE represents a rather large strategic change.
“Many, many users have been asking for this. And I think they're going to love it," Apple CEO Tim Cook said during the presentation of the new product. Although the ever-increasing popularity of phones with large displays is indisputable - Apple itself confirmed this with the "six" iPhones - there remains a circle of users who are loyal to four inches.
[su_pullquote align=”left”]A new iPhone has never been cheaper than it is now.[/su_pullquote]This is also confirmed by Apple's data. Last year alone, 30 million four-inch phones were sold, most of them iPhone 5S. As the last Mohican, it remained on offer among the larger models. Thirty million is not a lot of total numbers for Apple, but at the same time, it is not so little that it can easily ignore the tastes of its users.
Moreover, it is not just about the existing user base. Although many users were waiting for the new four-inch phone, even with outdated older iPhones in their hands, because they did not want a large display, the iPhone SE will definitely be an interesting product even for those who have not yet had anything to do with Apple or its phones. Three points appear to be absolutely essential when looking at the iPhone SE.
Aggressive price
The new iPhone has never been cheaper than it is now (even the plastic 5C, referred to as more accessible model, was more expensive). The iPhone SE can be purchased for as little as 12 crowns, so (unusually for a Californian company) the favorable price is definitely not just because the new phone has smaller dimensions or is perhaps not as well made (which it is). In short, Apple has decided that it wants to offer a cheaper iPhone, despite the certainly lower margin.
For many customers, the four-inch models continue to represent the gateway to the world of iPhones, and thus to the entire Apple ecosystem. Therefore, after more than two years, Apple has both revived the smaller phone and set a very aggressive price.
At the mentioned less than 13 thousand, considering whether to buy a (first) iPhone is much easier than when you follow an offer where the cheapest new phone costs over twenty thousand. Even the iPhone 5S, even though it is over two years old, was not sold here cheaper than the current iPhone SE.
Apple has so far avoided the price war, which is waged especially by its competitors in the lower classes, but it too now wants to win new users thanks to a more affordable phone. The Californian giant realizes that although large displays are currently the trend, in key growing markets such as China or India, even smaller phones still have value. And they look even more at the price.
A smaller phone without compromises
However, the lower price does not represent any compromises this time. Although Apple is going after a larger market share through a lower price, but at the same time with the best equipment. The new four-inch iPhone was left with the proven look of the years, except for small details, and the best components that Apple has were inserted into the popular chassis.
In terms of performance, the iPhone SE is on par with the new iPhone 6S, which, however, retains the distinctive look and design of the flagships. Which they undoubtedly still are.
It's a win-win situation for Apple. It can now offer a smaller phone without users having to buy it knowing that they will lose some features due to the requirement of a four-inch display (as they have done so far), and despite the latest technology, it is significantly cheaper.
There is no competition
In addition, by releasing a small but very powerful phone, Apple can set a new trend. Nobody but Apple offers a smartphone like the iPhone SE. Other companies are far from putting their best components into more affordable models and, especially in recent years, have completely abandoned the small phone segment.
After all, the move to larger displays was also copied by Apple. Already in 2014, he presented only large iPhones, and it seemed that he resented the once popular four inches. Unlike the others, however, Tim Cook and his colleagues have now concluded that there is still room for smaller phones.
If you want to buy a small phone in 2016, get the best guts in it, and still not pay that much money for it, there aren't many options other than the iPhone SE. You will always have to reduce some of your demands - and it will certainly be either the display's diagonal or the processor's performance or perhaps the camera's quality. Apple decided to try to offer such an experience without compromise.
The Californian giant is now entering an unknown market for it, which may easily cause us to see smaller versions of, for example, the Galaxy S7 from Samsung in the future. It all depends on demand, but Apple seems confident that interest in small phones is still there in 2016.
The iPhone SE is definitely not supposed to bring immediate billions of profits, it is more of a longer-term project, but in the end it may turn out to be a very important element of the entire offer.
"This time, however, the lower price does not represent any compromises." - as a fact? What about missing 3D touch, missing barometer, lousy front camera, old display from 5S (worse viewing angles, worse contrast than 6s), slow first generation touch ID, maximum 64GB memory. In my opinion, no compromises :-(
Exactly. And in the USA there is even a problem with frequencies, they have 2 versions again. But this can also bother travelers.
Do you really need a barometer in your life? Super front camera for stupid selfies? More than 64GB ROM? FHD or 4K resolution on 4″? I haven't tried 3D touch, so I don't miss it. For me, the 5S is a work tool and I'm grateful for the SE and I go to it, because a paddle in my pocket just gets in the way.
Exactly. They are haters. Those who miss this should buy a 6s, and those who want a more basic model mainly for calls and basic work will be delighted with the SE.
I myself have a 6s Plus 64GB, but I will buy a 16GB SE for the family in pink ;) Mainly because 8GB was enough until now and I only use it for calls and a couple of applications - I set the video to FullHD and it is painted.
For 12999, don't buy it when it's so cheap ;)
But I see that some would curse even if it cost 5000 - maybe instead of being upset about the price, it is better to find a better job.
Anyone who doesn't agree with me is automatically a "hater". Excellent business card, Michael.
It's not that anyone disagrees, but there are a lot of comments like - a recycled 3-year-old phone from the warehouse and we'll turn it into a new one, or we're obsessed with more than a few small things - nothing that reduces the functionality of the phone - there are a lot of them, while it only has an old cover with a new inside and those few worse parameters are largely balanced by the price - it's supposed to be a basic model, it can't be exactly the same as a top model and cost half as much.
It's clear that these are just hints - no constructive criticism.
Up.
I don't know, I guess I didn't understand all the criticism... :) I'd just like to ask everyone who doesn't like that the iP SE isn't basically smaller than the 6Sko. Do you know that the phone will basically cost some 13 thousand? You don't expect it to match Sko's machines at this price, do you? I agree that they could have done something with the design, but I personally have no problem with what SEčko is. :)
It almost seems as if the 6S series has ceased to exist with the introduction of the iPhone SE.
It's in a thread that was "committed by me", so I'll respond - there was no criticism of the parameters in the sense that you write it. It was a "criticism" of a completely uncritical article that presented the SE as a no-compromise phone. You write yourself - it costs 13 thousand - yes I understand ... it's a compromise. The design is just something I like about the SE, but that's subjective. For 13 it's certainly a nice deal, but I don't like it because my thinking is first about the parameters and then about the price, not the other way around. I hope it doesn't start a new trend where the next iPhone costs 000 and doesn't even have touch ID, and another 10 and doesn't even have retina and camera to be sure :-) (although maybe some would write again "it's god , what would you like for that money")
Well, I understand, but why can't they do something between the 6, which is still sold, and the 6S. And if I take the price and equipment 6, isn't the SE still better? Basically, they could cut the 6 because it doesn't have the most in its body?
I don't know where you get the word hater - better find a definition for the word "compromise". Compromise is not a priori negative, and I was mainly arguing about the fact that the iPhone SE is presented as an uncompromising phone in the article. You yourself prove that it is not true by arguing about the price... it is simply a compromise between price and equipment.
Otherwise, but my opinion is that a low price is in no way an excuse for a botched product. I don't want it to cost 5000, I don't even want it to cost 13000. I want it to cost maybe 25000, but for it to be uncompromising, high-end, just like it used to be - do you understand?
Unfortunately, this is probably the result of Apple wallowing in its own bewilderment of fragmented product lines. If under Jobs the products were about the latest technology - we just take the best we have and build something revolutionary, under Cook it's about $. It's a measure of success, but it degrades Apple to just another boring manufacturer that fills every possible niche in the market with yet another compromise model. Even the (otherwise really nice – I mean the parameters, not the protruding camera) new iPad doesn't have 4GB of RAM like its bigger brother – for God's sake, why isn't it aligned, why is there a compromise again? Why will I solve in a few years or months that the latest iOS works on the big one and doesn't work on the small one.
I have practically every product category from Apple (except maybe the iPod Shuffle) and most (come to think of it, maybe even all) are from the "old Apple" days - since then I don't really have the motivation to buy anything, because it's always a compromise (although I don't print money at home, but I still want an expensive and uncompromising high-end product), even with the MacBook Pro, even after 3/4 years, Apple didn't notice that Intel had new processors, that there was more than 16GB of RAM, or more than 1TB SSD, etc. (and I'll avoid any other questions - yes I need it and yes I know why and no I'm not looking for a replacement compromise solution and no I don't want it for free).
Although you are reacting (I dare say) to something different from what I write: I am arguing with the statement that it is an "uncompromising iPhone" and that is quite obviously not true - regardless of whether I need something or not. There are old components, the price is low, it's a compromise DOT.
So if I were to answer your questions:
1) if you mean "for life", as if I would die without a barometer, then no I don't need one. But I don't see a single reason not to want it - perhaps for fitness measurements. If you ask if I need it, I will say "I don't need it" (as well as other parameters) to be satisfied.
2) the super front camera is not only about "stupid selfies", but I wonder if I use it for video calls, and not really everything is about mega pixels, as the lay public believes. It is also an aperture of F/2.2 vs F/2.4 – yes, it is not much, but it still represents the need to use a 50% higher sensitivity (higher noise) in the same lighting conditions. Again, it's not about whether someone needs it 100% to live, but about the fact that it's an unpleasant compromise.
3) more than 64GB is definitely useful - I can't swear now that I would run out to buy 128GB right away, but I would definitely like to have the option - otherwise it just shows what Apple itself thinks about the SE - it's just low cost and don't count , that you fill it with photos and movies (e.g. my modest collection of home photos currently occupies 370GB). And again, no, I won't die if I don't have them all offline with me, but it's a trade-off.
4) I tried 3D touch and I really like it - regardless, it is simply a new technology that apple uses in new devices and, including other developers, gradually implements more and more support in applications, so the absence of 3D touch is a total fail - it's a compromise like a pig - a cheap phone, old or completely missing technology.
I have a very serious question - if you are now using 5S as a work tool (I am now using 4 as a work tool and I have had money ready for an upgrade for a long time, but there is nothing to buy with it - at the time of 5/5s the urge to upgrade was not so great) , what is your motivation for upgrading to SE? Is it the few MHz or the 1GB of memory? Otherwise, there are not many new things - even the display is a completely identical piece.
I already need an upgrade like a pig, but I just can't handle any 6(s) and I would feel like I'm making an idiot of Apple with the SE (sorry for being expressive, but I couldn't think of anything more appropriate) - of course, I would improve in every way compared to the 4 , but if in the end it wouldn't be better to just buy an older (cheaper - if we're talking about compromises) 5s. Objectively, the 2GB RAM is good for the SE, but it's not enough (I mean not enough news, not capacity).
People are not loyal to 4″, let’s just say the phone’s body is small, if Apple was not a lemmer and rolled out 4,3″ in the size of the iP5, the majority will be “loyal to 4,3″” the problem is not in the display but in the fact that some people, like For example, I don't want to drag the pad and have a tablet for browsing.
But Apple just pissed us off and actually only released a pre-built 6S in a 5s cover without any features. Something along the lines of: "There's about 30% 5Sar, so give them some shit and give them a break and don't look for cheap androids... but don't worry too much... they're not worth a joke to us".
I would add one more reason why this is a great move for Apple. Companies. I work for an internet company that once bought hundreds of 5cs for its employees as servants... They have already reached the end of their service life and, on the other hand, do not appear representative enough at meetings with managers... SE will be a great successor.
And what is a good move that I will buy a selection tip for a ridiculous price in 6 months, there will be a complete new line, so I hope only a fool can buy it S after all, every normal person will wait for you for 6 months
A classic iPhone is a ridiculous price for a company. Pay more than a regular iPhone 7 just for a slightly larger display and 000D Touch? The iPhone SE is a super bargain. In terms of performance, it will serve well for another 3 years, which is great for 4.
Let's take a look at it. A new trend, which is supposed to be indicated by a phone that has been used for 4 years (!). I don't think the media should give lip service to Apple's marketing department... They decided to make a 4″ iPhone at 0 (in words zero) cost. I wouldn't look any further than that and it clearly shows how he takes the little iPhone "seriously".
I have a 5s, I had a 6s and now a 6s. I don't deny the interesting design of the 5s, but it was good three or four years ago. But time has moved a little, and it can all be seen in the details that make up the whole. Compared to the 6/6s, the display is ridiculously drowned out, about double the gap between the display itself and the frame (clearly visible on the white variant) and raised (unbeveled) edges, which do not feel exactly opposite to the constantly used gesture for going back. The design is already heavily retro from the point of view, and anyone who puts the 5 and 6 next to each other and doesn't judge it just by the impressions of the picture will see it. If any other manufacturer dusted off the four-year-old packaging, which is practically a fossil in the mobile world, everyone would laugh at him... But after showing the iPhone SE, I at least understood the long introduction to the keynote on the topic of recycling, because I had no idea that it would be about and products.
"Without compromises" is a strong word, there are quite a few of them - for me, I don't understand the slow Touch ID of the 1st generation the most, it's simply a purposeful knock-off, so I'm not even happy about the old display = e.g. a contrast ratio that's half as bad and a return to reading problems with polarized sunglasses. They didn't bother with 3D Touch either. Such a trip into history, and strangely enough, mainly in terms of the "user experience", which lies in the details and which Apple likes to cash in on so much.
And aggressive pricing? For the revived 5, Apple charges the brother 16 pins in usable capacity. If I wanted a 4″ iPhone, I would have paid more for a contemporary design, if I could clearly see that they put a lot of work into it, and that they wanted to move the phone somewhere... but I wouldn't give a ten for this historical window.
Of course it will be a blockbuster, but let's keep in mind that it's not necessary to celebrate everything, and that only user feedback can give Apple a handle on what else it can afford to sell us, which is sorely lacking today.
The design is subjective, on the contrary, the 5/5S/SE has a much better and more solid impression on me than the Asian sixes at the fair.
As I wrote, I do not deny the quality of the design of the 5. However, the design is also 4 years old, and it can be seen in some of the partial solutions, of course. That's just how it goes, it's a common thing, and it stands out all the more in the fast mobile market. And I really don't think that Apple is the company that should be praised for the finds from the archive.
In my opinion, the design comes second for many users, and besides, I really think that the 5 is prettier than the 6 - it lacks classiness and decency.
But the SE will not be a phone that pulls in design. It mainly pulls 6 sticks lower in price, size and at the same time HW is up-to-date => up-to-date SW.
Design is not appearance. And secondly, I wouldn't argue whether 5 or 6 is prettier, that's not really the point. It's about the fact that Apple gave up on a full-fledged 4" phone, or he beat it by inserting an A9 and a better camera into a very old structure. Maybe they could bring out a white MacBook next time, lots of people loved it too. They would put the current i5/i7 in it and discount it by 10k. The product is in the world, what about the fact that it is not current in many ways.
"Design" according to the dictionary of foreign words = appearance, shape. I don't understand what you mean by that.
And how else should one build it other than level? When I go into iStyle and choose a phone with my eye, regardless of the price, I will clearly compare - simply because Apple does not have maybe 20 different models in its offer, so comparison will be the first thing a person does when choosing.
I think that the 5S, and by extension the SE, has high quality materials and workmanship, and it is definitely not some second-rate components. The comparison to MacBook White is therefore an inappropriate hyperbole - that is, an argumentative foul.
When you're already in the dictionary, look up the words "graphic design", "product design", "industrial design"... you might be surprised how complex it is and the appearance is only a small part of the overall design in the end (which is a correct translation the words "design" or "de-signare").
Perhaps you will be surprised - since we're talking bro - that what you say has absolutely nothing to do with what follows from the meaning of the word "design" in the discussion above... ;-)
Of course, I can't see into your head :-), but when I look at the previous posts: "design is not appearance" and "the design is nevertheless also 4 years old, and of course it can be seen in some partial solutions", I have the feeling that it is exactly what I wrote... The look and much of the technology is simply a 4 year old design.
Under older partial solutions, I imagine a wider display frame, a larger diameter of the holes for the microphone, a not-completely aluminum back.
It really didn't occur to me that you can see weaker steel underneath, or some of the procedures used in the production of the phone. But as you said yourself, no one can see into anyone's head. Success.
I also like the five more than the six, the six just doesn't hold well in the hand, the five was perfect, but 4 years ago, you probably wouldn't buy the same car over and over if someone just changed the engine, Apple had enough time to make a completely new phone, just people at Apple they are petrified and behave in a routine and automatically have their asses glued to their chairs, it would take a little defenestration when I saw their beaming faces and how everyone else was applauding themselves more like cheerleaders, because if you noticed when they presented the new iPhone on Monday, no one started there was complete silence to applaud, but it was a disappointment for me as well
I absolutely agree, it's a flop and what do you call a trip to history, they just sold it and I won't buy it anymore on principle, it's just going downhill with Apple, I'd rather go to Samsung, don't let yourself do something like that
Sure, that's why in 2014, after two years, Samsung released the Galaxy s3 neo :-D
I probably wouldn't run straight to Samsung, but it's a bit more complicated for me. I'm wired into the ecosystem and the main thing for me is the Mac, which I won't give up, so then the iPhone is the logical choice. I don't have a problem with iPhones, in the end it's more about the system than the packaging anyway, but I don't like this kind of uncritical approval of everything that comes out of Apple and completely ignoring the obvious flaws, or in this case simply the fact that Apple didn't want to make a modern 4″ iPhone.
From ten to five. It's incredible how drunk you get on a roll. Don't you understand that they took old/unused/returned/claimed phones, cut out the back apple and put the steel one that is on the new models? Leaving aside the unpopular and unused features of the new phones, there are a lot of things missing that are useful/functional:
1) Better display (viewing angle, contrast, readability in direct light)
2) 7000 series aluminum alloy (stronger and more durable chassis)
3) Second generation Touch ID (speed)
4) OUT (speed)
5) Higher quality front camera (video calls, joint photos with close people - I don't mean so-called selfies)
These are useful higher-order features for me. And now mentally add a few more that will be added in September with the arrival of the seventh generation. In addition, the 6S series will be cheaper at the same time. But we heard the message. "We recycle, therefore we're cool." It's not about whether the phone has a water fountain, whether it makes you coffee, but whether a company that has become famous (and rich) with a "different" approach to the market is leading to bright tomorrows in this way. If by chance it doesn't leak into that ship of theirs again when their CEO states that the iPad Pro is a full-fledged replacement for a desktop computer:
Well Lukas, thank you very much. I laughed heartily. If I wasn't a slob, I'd have this joke tattooed on my back: "they cut out their rear apple and gave them a steel one" :-) Can you at least roughly imagine what the costs would be to disassemble all the phones, pick out the undamaged chassis, polish and put them back into production? Those costs when the phone has completely different guts?
Has he ever had an iPhone 5/5s chassis stiffness problem? I've had a 5 since the very beginning, it's had several flight days, but could something bend somewhere? Do you look at the phone from a different angle than from the front? Readability in light, I don't know, maybe I have a different display in my hand than yours, but again, no problem with the i5. OUTSIDE? What kind of traffic can generate such a phone so that it can't do without MIMO?
Not one of the missing features you listed is so essential that the price of NOK 12990 for exactly the same guts as the pocket-size 6S/6S plus doesn't balance them out.
On the contrary, this is a new dictate. In how many discussions, regardless of manufacturer, have you read users complaining that they want the same performance but don't want 5″ paddles? Me a lot. And finally someone did it.
I absolutely agree.
If you were not anonymous, I will address you by name. So I have no reason to blame you. Anyway, save these invective prologues for your friends in the pub ;) That phone is exactly the same. Yes, make new ones. Yes, we all know that their products are not stored in some large warehouses, that they have logistics mastered to perfection. So could you explain to me what Liam is? Why did they spend so much time on it? Neither I, nor you, are 100% funded, I of course start from the fact of recycling, of almost 19 million sold iPhone 5S as of March 2015, of 90 million sold iPhone 5 as of October 2014, of Premium Reseller/Authorized Reseller/Authorized warehouses Retailer and the fact that Cook is focused on numbers, not on the product (that's what Steve Jobs said). So if there is enough "creeper" out there, I believe they pick it up and recycle it this way.. They kill two birds with one stone - PR about the moral side of society and
21990 vs. 12990,-
Lukáš, I recommend you to visit any manufacturing company and ask them how much it would cost them, collect your products and products that have been used for several years, disassemble them, replace the guts, pour sw and send them to production again. Liam = Marketing, we're even greener… we're talking about a company churning out millions of products monthly, if not daily.
Today's production, when reducing costs by a few pennies is considered a success, goes completely against what you write. The example of ecological recycling of cars is completely adequate. Yes, we recycle, but really no one will give you a new engine in your old "castle", it would be economic suicide.
You came up with a nice theory, but it's nonsense.
The fact that Apple has evidently forgotten its experience with a fragmented production line is a bummer. But it will happen to them again.
PS: Isn't referring to god demagoguery? :-)
PSS: And what would be the right pioneering?
21 vs. 990 16,-
– this is the first demagoguery; you argue for the 16GB version, when you yourself know very well that the customer is going for a higher version; this is a fact that I observed myself and at the same time it is searchable on the web; otherwise I absolutely do not care about the price, why do you list it?
I'll go to Opavia to ask.
– your paragraph does not make sense; argumentation is missing; at least some minimal information that reminds you of a fact on which you could base your opinion
What time is it today? What are you talking about? Jobs is an example of a perfectionist who was able to raise the price of the final product at the last minute and it worked (that's a fact). The analogy with cars is also a bad one, but the file fills me in, since the conversation around the Apple Car is focused on the BMW i3 (production, chassis, even the stupid castle). It's like they went to Nokia and looked at the same thing before developing the iPhone. But they're just fans, so it's not an argument.
PS: Is this a joke? If not, it's stupid. The expression "for God's sake" is expressive, and although it has a theological basis, it has a completely different meaning than it once had, because even that stupid language evolves.
PSS: Go ahead :)
You are comparing the 16GB version of the 6S and the 64GB version of the 5SE, i.e. non-comparators. I really don't know what the customer is looking for, but I have a guess, I guess what kind of customer the 5SE is for, and there the price of NOK 12990 is really the main draw, hand in hand with the idea that I'm actually buying equally powerful hardware.
Go and ask in Opavia, but that will be the peak of recycling when we make cookies out of poop :-). Maybe better than bullet letters...or the other way around?
Then two paragraphs of gibberish and PSS, so please, specifically what should it be? This is such an abstract cry into the darkness.
What should the 5SE have to be innovative?
I must have lost my mind, but if it had the parameters of 6S, wouldn't it be 6S? or maybe something like 6S mini should have come?
I think it makes no sense to keep making the flame here, and for myself, I warmly recommend taking a break from the movie and books about Steve Jobs, even though I understand the press is big now. I am slowly becoming afraid that they will jump out of the sardine can at me.
Mobile phones are returned to people after complaints. I've heard of otm before (not once). For example, Mironet has such discounted pieces, but it is always written there. Nothing I've heard is far from quality, because the things that haven't been replaced are starting to leave...
In my opinion, they were aimed at ordinary people, at least demanding users, I'm already like that when it comes to the phone (tablet and PC are different things), the quality of the display has always been fine with Apple, I always carry the phone in a case anyway because of the dial, so slowly, the older touch id is not there, BESIDES, I'm not interested in video calls and selfies. And I think such users are a waste, especially 40+ workloads. I need a device with e-mail, internet, camera, and I can't/don't want to do anything with it anyway...
I currently have a 4s (but all versions come to my hands from a friend [sometimes I develop some apps]) and this is finally a reason for me to update. I want a small phone with internet (mostly just driving advice, navigation, maps and finding the most important information on the roads) and navigation. I occasionally take macro photos with my phone (with an additional lens), so 12 MP is a plus.
For me it's a hit in the black, especially for the price :)
For me and my girlfriend too. I use the phone mainly with one hand, and I would also prefer 3.5″, but I really care about the symbolic act.
Considering the performance of the 5SE, it's a clear choice, even from the point of view of the "aging" of the device. In addition, it is far better than the still sold iPhone 6. I don't understand the crying of L. Krajíček. I'll be happy to get rid of the six for this "recycled" cudgel. Don't buy it for the money :) I'm not entirely comfortable with the handling of the 4,7" either. one hand it's simply an iOS control issue. Android is better in terms of common functions thanks to the buttons at the bottom, but not by much.
you forgot the Barometer :)
It will probably sound strange, but I use it with Thermo. Both the Air 2 and now the mini 4.
And what can it determine from the barometer?
I would be interested in that too...
Barometer? What will the barometer be for? :)
What is it there for? Does it determine the height, which is not so accurate with GPS?
From what I have read, it is precisely for more accurate GPS localization. On the one hand, it draws more accurate data from the barometer itself. It can thus monitor, for example, the height floor by floor. I have no idea how SE will do without a barometer, if it simply won't be able to do this function. That is, worse fitness functions. And also, there is not so much in the load of the GPS that needs localization from satellites, which also saves the battery a little.
Well, you're right. I don't use the fitness functions on my mobile, I have a watch for that. It shows no floors in the mobile phone, which could indicate the function of the barometer. Good tip. I'll probably look for it somewhere closer.
And what mobile phone do you have now that you want to exchange for a 6? When I look at the price, the 6 won't pay off in the long run if you don't change it after a year. The difference is 3 thousand, but 1GB of RAM versus 2GB of RAM in the 6s will extend your performance by at least 2 years.
I would probably wait for an event (mostly Elektroworld, Datart or, at worst, alza). The 6s 64GB was already on sale for around 21.000, so the same price as Apple's 6ky. Alternatively, wait for an event for 6, but if they are not in stock, then no one will do the event.
I mentioned that the SE doesn't have a barometer. Your 6S definitely has it because my 6 has it too :), but I have no idea how accurate it will be with SE without a barometer, but I would like it.
So I'm answering - I have a 6 and I'm thinking about changing it to an SE. As you write, the performance will extend the life. I was very concerned about the camera, but again, there is not such a huge difference as I thought. On the contrary, it is minimal. Rather, they are larger photos with almost the same level of detail. The only difference is in the video. So now I'm hesitating because I like the 6 and 6s better :)
Yes, I have the Barometer 6s, but I don't think I use it for anything when I'm not talking about weather and fitness. Ono res Some time ago I was deciding whether to buy the 5s and 6, but when I saw the 5s and 6 next to each other at the time, it was pretty clear. The 5s design is better than the 6, but the 6 had significantly more (icons on the desktop) and it looked like the older brother :-). I also liked the 6 Plus, but I was put off by the price and the fact that it could not be comfortably held at a height in one hand. Great for a match in both hands and as a game console :-D.
I don't think the barometer is used in the weather forecast. 5s or 6 there is a clear choice if 6 is better but in the case of 5SE vs 6 it is actually the other way around and the price is also the other way around. But I have 6 for the same money as SE now.
And I like the roundness and it fits better in the hand. Plus there are already cows and the 6 is recorded.
Apple has always done it that way, they put the old parts they had left in their warehouses into something ;-). Get an iPad mini……
However, I have to admit that after the 4″ phone, the diva is really good for the customer and the little things you wrote don't bother anyone.
1) The angle of view is stupid, I only look at it and if someone is trying to convince me, I advise you not to see it ;-).
2) The aluminum alloy (i.e. if it is on 6s) is worth the old backer, because my phone is battered and scratched and I don't go to pubs with it anywhere and I treat it decently, so it would be better if after 2 years it could be exchanged for 1000 CZK for the entire mobile phone case, and that certainly won't work with the expensive material.
3) I have a 6s, I use touch ID all the time, but I can't compare how it was in the previous version.
4) MIMO antenna is definitely better for me, because my year-old router can't do it ;-). And anyway, I don't play full HD or 4K live (not even my Apple TV can do 4K ;-) ).
5) A better front camera would be nice for Skype, but the video resolution is the same as the 6s, i.e. 720p. So just for the photo shoot. I don't take selfies and I usually let passersby take pictures of me outside with a better camera.
So I didn't find anything important, despite the fact that 6s suits me.
Apple is only diluting the ip sales to fall. They look like a smaller model that many users are waiting for. And in 1-1,5 years they will release a completely redesigned model.. On the whole, Apple can be seen trying to attract customers from other companies. After all, the team talked about this at the keynote with iPads... The same thing is happening now with users who want a cheap phone and 2 years ago with users who didn't mind paying for a phone but wanted a large display.. Apple is just trying to cover the largest possible spectrum of the market and no one can blame him... After all, apple makes 4 size variants of macbooks in 3 different lineups and no one can blame him, and I note that for apple it is a much smaller segment.
I understand cheaper iPhones, but why do they make more expensive iPads? Who on earth will pay 25k for an iPad?
PS: I had the first iPad from Apple, because I thought the price/performance was the best, and I have about 3 models so far. At least 25k in the competition from Lenovo, where are the ones starting to have a head and a heel with a price tag of around 5k? Who do I want to pull over :-D?
I don't really understand the cries of marketing failure when not so long ago the discussions were full of posts like "bring back the 4″ phone".
I have a 5S myself, I didn't go for the 6 and 6s just because of the size and the camera lens, but the SE in the 64GB variant is a clear choice for me. The price is nice, the performance is great, basically it's a 6sko, and the only thing I regret is the 3D touch and front facing camera. I don't mind the fact that the look of the iPhone 5 remained. In my opinion, it is the most beautiful iPhone, definitely timeless in design to the extent that I can stand looking at it again for the next few years.
If you don't like it, don't buy it. In my opinion, it's good that Apple didn't make some kind of mess like Cčko, but a real 4″ phone in a premium design basically in the configuration of the current Top model.
Exactly!
As a Macbook, iPad and iPhone user, I would also like to add my opinion. For a long time, the 4S was the best in combination with the iPad. I didn't go to 5, I don't necessarily need every model. I solved up to iP6 and straight away Plus! At that moment I tried the "paddle" for myself and thought I would regret it. Summary? No way. I'm absolutely satisfied, I take it everywhere (running, cycling...), it doesn't get in the way, it's really a habit. In conclusion, I would like to point out that since the purchase, I have had an absolutely unused iPad at home. I think the 4″ will definitely find its clientele, but it won't deter existing users from using their 'paddles'. Size matters :-)))
Running with iP6+? I'm sorry, but it's hard for me to imagine. I ran with the iP5S and after a few runs without it, I found that it would be best to invest in a Sporttester. I can still understand it on the bike, maybe in the back pocket of the jersey, but I certainly wouldn't say that the difference of 5,5″ vs 4″ is just a matter of habit...
I really run with it. I have a neoprene case for my hand. It does not limit in any way. Since I'm not a professional athlete, it's the perfect combination for me. I listen to music, I bought a chest belt in Lidl for 500,- (he walks like clockwork) and I use the Sporttracker app. All in one. If I go on longer trails, I have a small backpack on my back and a mobile phone in it.
I have a Sporttestr at home from Garmin and Sunnt and I don't use it. I had to have a watch (belt), I also took MP3 music and a mobile phone (you never know). So I was also burdened with "Sarapati" in the final :-)
Is the chest strap connected via bluetooth? Does it also work with the Endomnodo application?
Yeah, yeah. They have icons of the apps it supports on the box. Endomondo is there. The SportTracker wasn't there and it still works. And that belt is really cool, it even lasted Beskydska 7 with me :-)
That sounds good, how often do I charge? What brand is it (if they ever have it again)?
It is for a classic "lens" flashlight, like other belts. I've been using it for a year and haven't changed yet. I don't know the brand. They offer it about twice a year, to some sports collection... http://www.cnews.cz/nakupni-tip-lidl-prodava-hrudni-meric-tepu-s-bluetooth-jen-za-555-kc
Ant+ can do that too, so I'll try to take a look ;-). Thanks for the tip.
I bought a 6s and since then the iPad is also quite rare at home ;-). Sometimes I do something on it that doesn't work on the iPhone (like Heroes III :-) ), or when I charge the iPhone, but otherwise the children have it on the game. So maybe it's not just about the 5,5″. However, I found that I don't have a very good grip on the height in one hand. I would definitely need a 4,4" instead of 4,6, or trim the frames a bit ;-).
I'll ask a bit out of the question... is it normal when shooting slow-motion that the display (image) darkens and the video flickers in artificial lighting? In addition, I find the slow-motion video to be rather low-quality and it doesn't even look like 720P. Like higher compression.
