What Apple Watch users have been clamoring for for a long time has become a reality with the release of watchOS 6 for the public. The latest operating system for Apple watches includes a native Calculator application, and I can tell you right away that it can do a lot more than the classic calculator in iOS. So what's new in the Calculator app in watchOS 6 and what can it do in addition to the Calculator from iOS?

The calculator in watchOS 6 can do more than the one in iOS

In the new Calculator app in watchOS 6, you can now perform simple calculations directly from your wrist. Although there is no advanced calculator that would provide you with calculations with powers and other elements, but when would you want to use a scientific calculator on such a small display. A classic example in which you use plus, minus, times, and thus simply calculate the division. However, new features are only available if within the application you press hard on the watch display. Once you do so, you will be presented with two new options – Tipping and Percentage functions. In the first mentioned function, you can simply have the amount you want to donate to a business calculated. At the same time, you can easily divide the entire account between several people. The second function, i.e. Percentage, is used to simply display the percentage of a certain entered number.

In addition to the Calculator, the new version of watchOS 6 also includes a new Noise application. As the name suggests, it takes care of sound monitoring. In the background, it can measure the value of ambient noise in decibels, and if you are in an environment where the noise level is high for a long time, it will alert you via a notification. However, we will talk about the Hluk application in another article, so be sure to continue to follow Jablíčkář so that you do not miss any instructions related to new functions and applications in watchOS 6 or iOS 13.
