Negotiations with Natalie Portman for a role in the upcoming film about Steve Jobs, which began a few weeks ago, did not end in success. According to the latest reports, the popular actress turned down the role in the film based on the screenplay by Aaron Sorkin.
The expected film about the co-founder of Apple, written by Sorkin based on the authorized biography of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson, still does not have a complete cast. It is not officially confirmed yet, but he should play the main role Michael Fassbender and his friend Steve Wozniak should play Seth Rogen.
However, director Danny Boyle probably won't be able to count on Natalie Portman, whom the filmmakers were aiming for, reports the magazine Variety. Specific information why the Oscar winner for the leading role in the film black Swan she refused to play in "Jobs" (the film still does not have an official title), they are not known. However, filming should not be postponed because of this.
Production, under the supervision of the trio of Scott Rudin, Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady, is set to begin in the spring. Then everything will be after the recent one twist under the umbrella of Universal Studios, not Sony Pictures. It is not even clear how the creators wanted to use Natalie Portman, but an important role, how he revealed screenwriter Sorkin, Jobs' daughter should also star in the film. This role has not yet been filled.
We will be able to enjoy Natalie Portman next year at least in a movie Jane Got a Gun (Pistol Jane) by Gavin O'Connor.
Awwww. So it's school :-(
That movie will probably be a real mess if no one wants to act in it.
that's exactly what I think too, apparently everyone has some respect for Jobs and doesn't want to start projects that are highly likely to fail...
With all due respect to Jobs, I would not exaggerate, in most cases it will be a much more prosaic reason such as money or an unsatisfactory character / script.
Well, the combination of Aaron Sorkin and Danny Boyle can't even go wrong... I'm looking forward to it :-)
