A new streaming service from Apple called Apple TV+ will be launched in the fall. It should mainly offer original series and movies. The cost of running streaming services is not exactly the lowest, and many operators, such as Netflix or Amazon, are constantly increasing their budgets.

While Netflix's expenses for one episode of the popular series House of Cards amounted to $4,5 million, operators can currently pay between eight and fifteen million dollars for one episode of an original series. As for Apple, its cost per episode of the original sci-fi drama series See was nearly fifteen million dollars.

The series, which takes place in the distant future, features, for example, Jason Momoa, known from the series Game of Thrones or the movie Aquaman, or perhaps Alfre Woodard. The plot of the See series takes place on Earth, whose inhabitants have almost been wiped out by an insidious virus. The survivors have lost their sight and are fighting to survive. Apparently, Apple considers the series one of its wild cards and introduced it at this year's WWDC.

Apple has previously announced that the original content budget for its Apple TV+ service is $1,25 billion. It is not yet clear whether the company was within this amount or was forced to exceed it. Apple TV+ offers a number of star-studded series, such as The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston. They were supposed to earn XNUMX million dollars for their performance in the mentioned series.

The Apple TV+ service is expected to officially launch this fall. In addition to existing services such as HBO, Amazon Prime or Netflix, it will also compete, for example, with Disney's new streaming service.
