In this regular column, every day we look at the most interesting news that revolves around the California company Apple. Here we focus exclusively on the main events and selected (interesting) speculations. So if you are interested in current events and want to be informed about the apple world, definitely spend a few minutes on the following paragraphs.

Fans have re-photographed the original wallpapers for macOS

The Californian giant is undoubtedly one of the most popular companies in the world. In addition, Apple has a number of loyal fans who, for example, follow every Apple conference with enthusiasm and high expectations. Among these fans, we could definitely include a YouTuber and photographer named Andrew Levitt, who already last year teamed up with his friends, namely Jacob Phillips and Tayolerm Gray, and decided to photograph the original wallpapers that we can find in macOS operating systems. They decided on the same experience even before the introduction of macOS 11 Big Sur. They filmed their entire trip, and believe me, it's worth it.

In the attached seventeen-minute video above, you can see the photography of the mountains on California's Central Coast. The video begins before the very beginning of the opening Keynote for the developer conference WWDC 2020 and the subsequent journey to the dream photo. Of course, unfortunately, it was not without complications. After a closer investigation, it turned out that the picture was taken from a height of 4 thousand feet above sea level (about 1219 meters). Fortunately, this problem can be easily solved with the help of a drone. In this case, however, the Californian law, which directly prohibits flying near the coast, did not play into the cards of the creators. For this reason, the young people decided on a helicopter. Although it may seem that at this point it has already been won, the opposite was true. The first attempt was quite foggy and the photo was worthless. Fortunately, the second attempt was already successful.

In the previous paragraph, we mentioned the helicopter that the team of young people used to take the photo. What is extremely interesting is that the same pilot flew with them, who also provided transportation directly for the Apple photographer who took care of creating the original image. If you are interested in the whole journey behind this photo, be sure to watch the video.

Apple Saves Planet Earth: It's About to Reduce Its Carbon Footprint by 100%

The apple company has been progressive in many ways since its foundation and always comes up with innovative solutions. In addition, our planet Earth is currently plagued by climate change and a number of other problems, which even Apple is aware of. Already in the past, in connection with MacBooks, we could hear about the transition to recyclable aluminum and other similar steps. But the company from Cupertino is not going to stop there. Today we learned about completely revolutionary news, according to which Apple by 2030 reduces the carbon footprint to zero, within its entire business and supply chain.

With this step, the Californian giant also shows that it can be done in a different way, with respect to the environment and in favor of the global climate. According to a recent press release, the company plans to reduce emissions by 2030 percent by 75, while working to develop an innovative solution to decarbonize the remaining 25 percent. Today we also saw the release of a new video titled A climate change promise from Apple, which emphasizes the importance of this step.

An alternative controller for Apple TV is headed to the market

The driver for Apple TV is getting rather mixed feedback among Apple users. Some simply like it and would not change it, while others find it impractical or even ridiculous. If you belong to the second group, you have probably already looked for an alternative solution more than once. The company Function101 has now presented itself with a new product, which will launch a great controller for Apple TV next month. Let's describe it a little more closely.

The button controller from Function101 does not offer a touchpad. Instead, we find classic arrows, with the OK button in the middle. In the upper part, we can also notice the Menu button and the button for turning it on or off. In the middle are the main buttons for controlling volume and channels, and below them we find the option to control multimedia content. The driver should enter the market with a price tag of around 30 dollars, i.e. almost 700 crowns, and it should be available first in the United States of America.
