Last week, we informed you about the latest prediction of the DigiTimes portal, according to which the 6th generation iPad mini will have a mini-LED display. This should noticeably improve the quality of the content display, while the supply of the screens themselves will be provided by Radiant Optoelectronics. But it is possible that it will be completely different in the final. An analyst focusing on the world of displays, Ross Young, responded to a report from DigiTimes, according to which this year's smallest Apple tablet will not offer a mini-LED display.

Young is said to have contacted Radiant Optoelectronics directly, suggesting that the original report is not true. At the same time, however, it is necessary to add one relatively important piece of information. Of course, Apple's suppliers are bound by a non-disclosure agreement and cannot disclose any details about components to their clients. This is true across the tech industry in general, but especially so in the case of the Cupertino giant. The arrival of an iPad mini with a mini-LED display is still not completely unrealistic. The respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already commented on the whole situation, saying that such a product will come in 2020. Probably due to the global pandemic and supply chain shortcomings, however, this did not happen.

The new iPad mini should be introduced later this year, while it will offer a number of interesting novelties, which will undoubtedly attract the attention of not only apple lovers. In this case, Apple is planning to bet on a similar design change as with the iPad Air. The display will thus cover the entire screen, while at the same time the iconic Home button will be removed. In this case, Touch ID will be moved to the power button, and there is even talk of replacing Lightning with a USB-C connector. Popular leaker Jon Prosser also talks about the implementation of Smart Connector for easy connection of accessories.

In the case of the chip, however, it is again unclear. In the last month, there have been two reports, both of which claim something different. Currently, no one dares to say whether we will find the A14 Bionic chip in the device, which, by the way, is found, for example, in the iPhone 12 or 15 Bionic. It will make its debut in the upcoming iPhone 13 series.
