If you are among Apple lovers and closely follow the news about this company, especially about the iPhone 13, then you certainly did not miss the various predictions. According to them, the new product should offer better cameras, a reduction in the top cutout, Pro models will receive a 120Hz ProMotion display and a number of other goodies. In addition, analysts from Wedbush, citing supply chain sources, mentioned that Apple is still going to increase the maximum capacity from 512 GB to 1 TB, which is currently only available on the iPad Pro.

Maximum storage and sales

However, these reports were refuted already in June by analysts from the company TrendForce, according to which the iPhone 13 will retain the same storage options as last year's iPhone 12 model. From this perspective, the maximum value should again reach the mentioned 512 GB. Subsequently, no one relevant commented on this situation. Now, however, Wedbush is making itself known again, standing by its initial prediction. Analysts are even more confident this time with the 1TB storage claim. The change will of course apply to the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max models. This time they added that this year we will see the arrival of the LiDAR sensor on all models, including the smallest and cheapest iPhone 13 mini.

Analysts from Wedbush continued to mention other rather interesting information related to the sales of this year's range of Apple phones. It should be slightly more popular than last year's generation, with companies from Apple's supply chain counting on sales of around 90 to 100 million units. Before the introduction of the iPhone 12, it was "only" 80 million units. However, it is necessary to take into account that a year ago the world faced a strong wave of the covid-19 epidemic.

Performance date

Unfortunately, it will not be without complications this year either. The virus causing the aforementioned disease mutates, which again causes a number of serious problems. To make matters worse, the world is also facing a global shortage of chips. So it's only a matter of time before the problem hits Apple and affects its sales. Even so, the traditional September presentation of the iPhone 13 is expected anyway. According to Wedbush, the conference should take place in the third week of September.

Farewell to the mini model

We will therefore be presented with four new iPhones relatively soon. Specifically, it will be iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. You could practically say that this is the same lineup that Apple came up with last year. But the difference is that this time we will see a model mini last. The iPhone 12 mini is not doing well in sales at all and could not even fulfill the company's expectations. For this reason, the giant from Cupertino decided to take a rather drastic step. He doesn't count on this little one next year.

Instead, Apple will switch to a different sales model. The quartet of phones will still be sold, but this time only in two sizes. We can expect iPhone 6,1 and iPhone 14 Pro in 14″ size, while for lovers of larger screens there will be 6,7″ iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Max. So the menu will look like this:

  • iPhone 14 & iPhone 14 Pro (6,1″)
  • iPhone 14 Max & iPhone 14 Pro Max (6,7″)
