Do you like to shop? Are you a supporter of systematic shopping in the store according to a pre-prepared list? Have you also experienced a situation where you wrote down a shopping list on a piece of paper in the comfort of your home and then found out at the store that you left it on the table at home? If so, you will certainly appreciate the Czech application Lísteček.
Lísteteček is a very simple application that wants to make shopping easier for you while using it and at the same time earn some money. I have properly tested the application in practice in several stores and I would like to introduce you to the practical functions of Lísteček and some user observations.
As soon as you start the application for the first time, a friendly Czech lady will look at you and try to guide you through all the functions and individual settings of your entire shopping list. In an intuitive environment, you have a total of four main options to choose from in the lower navigation bar, each of which serves a different purpose, but together they form a whole with the same intention. To make your purchase more convenient, clearer and, as already said, to try to save a few crowns from your wallet.
The first navigation icon in the shape of a note represents a space for writing a shopping list. Practically speaking, at home, before heading out to the store, I went through my kitchen stock and wrote everything down in this box. An intelligent search bar is used to enter the list, where you can search for a specific type of food or raw materials using keywords. At this point there is nothing to complain about the app. During the entire period of use, I did not come across a food item that the application did not recognize. The Whisperer will help you select a specific type or brand of the raw material and add it to the list with a simple click.
But that's not all. Including specific foods, you can also set the number or quantity of the selected product. My list is slowly starting to fill up, so I head out to the store. Don't know which one to head for? The Ticket will help you again. According to the current location, it will show a list of shops nearby, and you can go to Maps directly from the application and be navigated to the shop.
Although this localization function can be useful, especially if you are in a foreign city, the advantage of Lísteček is somewhere else. By specifying a specific store, my list suddenly changed and the individual items were sorted according to how I would walk through the store and what foods I would encounter in the store from my list. I have to add to that the fact that the application immediately showed me the amount that I can save in the given store. The ticket automatically tracks all ongoing price promotions.
So I go to the store and go through the individual shelves according to the Lísteček. I am watching to see if the application really lied about the offers and discounts. This is done by the third icon in the navigation bar in the form of a percentage symbol. Here again, I have a smart search available where I can enter specific foods or a supermarket. Everything is automatically arranged clearly for me and I have the price before and after the discount available. If I click on any specific item, I will be taken to the product details where I can see additional information or a button to add to my shopping list and other features.

From the design and user side, there is nothing to complain about the application. It can be seen that the developers have taken care of the application. The whole thing is dotted with various intelligent control elements that we know from the iOS 7 environment. For example, deleting or unchecking a purchase item is done by pulling on the item in two directions. By swiping to the right you have purchased the item and swiping to the left is to postpone the item for later. The function for adding a quantity to an already registered item in your list is also very nice. When clicking on the amount of raw material, you can either subtract or add the number or amount of food by dragging down or up.
Overall, I really liked the application, and I must once again highlight the complete Czech localization, clear menu and pleasant design. Here and there I discovered a mistake, for example in price promotions or once unfortunately I couldn't find a store that was right next to my place of residence. On the contrary, I found shops there that I would not have expected in the list.
The application can be downloaded for free in the App Store, and the first time you start it, you can enter your email address, when you will register for free and get premium services for a limited time, which just include automatic updates of price promotions in individual stores and other functions that I described here. After the trial period expires, you have the option to use the in-app purchases in the application to order the function of discounts and promotional goods for less than 10 euros (275 crowns) for one year, or to share lists for less than one euro, also for one year. In addition, until the end of the holidays, i.e. August 31, a discounted price applies, when you pay only 4,49 euros (125 crowns) for a year-long subscription. Of course, this includes the function where you can share your entire shopping list with friends or just practically exchange it in the family, so that everyone has an overview of what you are currently buying, and you don't end up buying the item twice.

Does the app sync? That I would write an item and my wife could also see it on her phone?
For example, the Reminders application, which is a standard part of the system, is used for this. just create a separate list of reminders, for example with the name "Buy". After that, just move your mouse over the name of the list and the wifi icon will appear, click on it and enter who you want to share the list of comments with. It's better to know the basics of system programs before I start installing paid third-party external applications for it myself :)
I don't know about you, but I really don't want to type out 50 items by hand and then share them with someone... I personally use SuperList for shopping, which can synchronize between devices (and also Drive Shopper, when one of the sync devices was Android at the time ), I have the goods divided into racks and those (manually) sorted according to the local (most visited) store. I would easily switch to Listek, provided that he could also synchronize. If only because I would no longer have to deal with the arrangement of the shelf, or I would always have the items listed according to where I am currently shopping and especially I would not be limited to items that I create myself and the current price can also be useful information). Otherwise, paying an annual 'penalty' for the possibility of sharing by e-mail is a bit wild.. I would understand it for my own solution, which will be necessary for multi-platform synchronization. If sync will only be via iCloud, it should probably only be a one-time fee. And the background is nice, but unnecessarily distracting, or the layer between the text and the background could be a little less transparent..
How does the app sync? I downloaded the lite version and can't figure it out.
When you have created a list and you are 'in it', there is a square with an arrow at the bottom left, and in the menu that opens, tap on the option list settings and the first switch - enable dropbox sync
My partner and I use Wunderlist (in the free version), where we have two lists (I'll do it, She'll do it) and we write each other's tasks there.
The ticket is synchronized with other users. Just register, and then in the settings - Add a friend.
Lists can be shared with up to 3 other users. In the list, who added which item is then distinguished by color.
"or sharing lists for less than one euro, also for one year."
That's Petr Zvěřina, who didn't come to Prague on Babe :-) Who remembers him from the Chosen? However... the application is nice, especially the sorting by individual stores. But that doesn't work everywhere, right? After all, they don't have a database of all stores in the country.
Like, for example, all Penny's or Lidl probably have the same layout... so it's probably by design.
Well, for example, in the case of Kaufland in Ostrava, I wouldn't say that.
unavailable in the Slovak store...
It should already be available in the US, including the SK store. :-)
I'm fine with the Notes system app. We buy food online, so I can make do with BauMax, IKEA, Alza notes, where I have the Buy and Have section :-)
It would require a radical overhaul of the application design, or at least, if nothing else, to get rid of the image of stoners in the background. Otherwise, the app serves well.
What impressed me the most about this application was the half-hour long walk-through tutorial, without which no one would actually be able to use it, because it has an absolutely beautiful UX design. I'm not even talking about the visual design, which looks like it was made by a programmer or a 5-year-old kid, everyone can see it from the screenshot.
too bad it's not on the US store...
"From the design and user side, there is nothing to complain about the application. It can be seen that the developers have taken care of the application."
Rating from a person who obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, doesn't know design, and opened the application for a maximum of 2 minutes.
