You can throw logic out the window when you play the new Mitoza adventure game. Developer Gala Mamlyam's creation rather asks where the limits of storytelling are. According to the description on Steam is a "surreal adventure game in which you choose your own destiny". But it is difficult to talk about an all-encompassing story. In Mitoz, you will observe how many absurd scenes emerge from a small seed, which would seem to have fallen out of one of the strangest films by David Lynch.

The game is divided into individual screens. On the first one you see a small seed and you get a choice of two pictograms that advance the story. You pick a flower pot, the seed will grow. You select a bird, it flies in and plucks the seed. Each subsequent action represents a choice between two options. However, what follows is not as clear as what I have just described. The game interprets the combination of individual elements in its own way and in most cases it will surprise you. In addition, the minimalistic visual style is complemented by beautifully vivid animations.

However, even though Mitoza on macOS claims to be a complete gaming novelty, it is not entirely true. The game originally started as a flash game in 2011. However, due to the discontinuation of support for the web plugin, developer Mamlya teamed up with the publishing studio Rusty Lake, and its experimental offshoot Second Maze, and released the game on other platforms. Mitoza can now be played not only on computers but also on smartphones. It is a very successful canapé, which many other players managed to enjoy during its ten-year existence. Moreover, you can download it completely free of charge.
