After Monday's WWDC21, at which Apple announced news about the new iOS 15 system, the pile of news it contains continues to pour in on us. The one that will be of particular interest to avid gamers is the improved ability to record video clips from the games being played. You will now be able to record them thanks to improved integration with game controllers. Video recording will thus work in a similar way to what you may be used to from game consoles.

If you own an Xbox Series or Playstation 5 controller, you will be able to enjoy recording videos with one press of a button on the new version of the system. His long hold on the controller will now record the last fifteen seconds of gameplay. So there will be no need to turn the recording on and off. So it is a similar function that console players have been used to for some years now.

The function itself will now be part of the so-called ReplayKit. However, along with its implementation, Apple does not discard the possibility of choosing the beginning and end of the video. It will be possible to switch between the two modes in the game controller settings. The resulting video will of course be easily shared on many social networks.

For Apple, this is another friendly step towards the huge gaming community. While the Apple company didn't announce any news for its game subscription service Apple Arcade during the last conference, we have to blame it more on the fact that it was an event for developers than for the public. In addition, according to various rumors, the company is preparing its own streaming service.
