In this regular column, every day we look at the most interesting news that revolves around the California company Apple. Here we focus exclusively on the main events and selected (interesting) speculations. So if you are interested in current events and want to be informed about the apple world, definitely spend a few minutes on the following paragraphs.

A leak has revealed how much the iPhone 12's notch will shrink

In recent years, Apple has twice failed to keep information about upcoming products under wraps. In a relatively short time, the unveiling of the iPhone 12 awaits us, about which we already have a lot of information. This time the leak is about a cursed cutout. A number of Apple users constantly complain about the relatively larger cutout, which has been with us since the launch of the iPhone X, while the other side doesn't mind that much. In addition, the news from the past months has constantly informed us that in the case of this year's generation it should be significantly reduced, thanks to the use of modern technologies.

Currently, a picture has leaked onto the Internet, which compares the iPhone 11 Pro and the upcoming basic iPhone 12 with a 5,4″ diagonal in exact scale. As you can see in the image attached above, the cutout has shrunk by about one-sixth. However, it is necessary to realize that in the so-called notch there are a number of important components that take care of the correct functionality of the revolutionary Face ID biometric authentication technology. So it seems that Apple has not managed to put these components in smaller dimensions, so you will have to settle for at least a partial reduction in the size of the aforementioned cutout.

Real images of iPhone 12 processors have surfaced

We will stay with the upcoming iPhone 12 for a while. Through the social network Twitter, we received another leak, which deals with the most important components of apple phones. Of course, this is the Apple A14 Bionic chipset, which is to be built on 5nm architecture. It is customary for Apple that its chips offer the best possible performance in combination with low energy consumption. Fortunately, this should also apply to the latest model, which is said to once again push the imaginary boundary several levels forward.

What the upcoming Apple A14 Bionic looks like (Twitter):

The very first images of the aforementioned Apple A14 Bionic chipset have now surfaced. At the same time, their design will not excite you twice, because they are no different from their older siblings. At first glance, you can notice the logo of the apple company combined with the inscription A14, which of course means the name. The transistors themselves are located on the bottom side. However, the inscription 2016 is relatively more interesting. It could refer to the date of production, i.e. the 16th week of 2020, which corresponds to April. According to various reports, that's when the first test production was supposed to start, so it's possible that we're looking at the very first Apple A14 Bionic chipsets ever.

Spotify for Mac can now handle Chromecast

Nowadays, so-called streaming platforms undoubtedly enjoy enormous popularity, with the Spotify application winning in the field of music and podcasts. It offers its subscribers a number of great benefits and boasts the Spotify Connect function. Thanks to it, we can control the currently playing music from any device. In practice, this means that you can play, for example, a song from the iPhone and then change the volume on the Mac, or possibly switch it.

The new version of the Spotify application for Mac brings with it a practical improvement that will allow you to send a song from an Apple computer to the popular Chromecast. This was not possible until now, and we had to use, for example, an iPhone first, and only then could we work with a Mac.
