This week, Apple released beta versions of the macOS and iOS operating systems, and although we are still waiting for the test version of watchOS 3.2, Apple has already revealed what it has in store for the owners of its watches. The biggest novelty will be the so-called Theater Mode.

Theater Mode (theatre/cinema mode) was already talked about at the end of last year, but at that time most people associated the leak of the upcoming news with iOS and the fact that dark mode could arrive in iPhones and iPads. Ultimately, however, Theater Mode is something else and for a different device.

With the new mode, Apple wants to make it easier to visit the theater or cinema with the watch on your wrist, where you don't want the Watch to light up when you move your hand or receive a notification.

Once you've activated Theater Mode, the display won't respond to raising your wrist, so it won't light up, but the watch will continue to vibrate to inform the user of received notifications. Only by tapping the display or pressing the digital crown will the Watch light up.

As part of the new update, SiriKit will also arrive on the Apple Watch, which will allow users to send messages, make payments, make calls or, for example, search in photos, via the voice assistant. SiriKit has been in iOS 10 since the fall, but it will arrive on the Watch only now.

Apple has not yet given any details on when it plans to release the new watchOS 3.2 beta.
