Apple announced late last week that it is preparing a new documentary series called "Dear..." for its Apple TV+ streaming service. The series should appear in the Apple TV+ menu already this spring and will be inspired "Dear Apple" video series. The new series will take an imaginative and lively look at the lives of iconic figures in today's society, through thank-you letters from those whose lives have been fundamentally changed by these people's work.

The series will consist of a total of ten episodes, which will gradually tell about the lives of famous personalities such as Oprah Winfrey, Gloria Steinem, Spike Lee, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Yara Shahidi, Stevie Wonder, Aly Raisman or even Misty Copeland. The series will be executive produced by RJ Cutler, Todd Lubin, Jay Peterson, Jane Cha and Lyle Gyamm. Further details regarding the series have not yet been announced by Apple.

In addition to the series "Dear...", this year we should also see the second season of The Morning Show and several other novelties on the Apple TV+ streaming service. Their official announcement will certainly not be long in coming - speculation is that Apple will announce its plans for this year's programming of its streaming service as part of its participation in the TCA Winter Press Tour, in the next few days. The series will thus join the offer, which currently includes, in addition to the aforementioned The Morning Show, the series See, Servant, Truth Be Told or the new Little America.

The Apple TV+ streaming service has been live since last November, with a mixed response so far. Critics and viewers praise the selected programs, but users criticize the (lack of) richness of the program offer or the overall lack of transparency of the service. Viewership statistics are not yet officially known.
