Dan Pražák Although Apple introduced its AirPower wireless charger almost a year ago, it has not yet gone on sale. Even the absence of its own mat for wireless charging does not prevent Apple from helping other partners develop accessories from the same category. The proof is the new Logitech POWERED wireless charging stand, which is designed in collaboration with Apple and is therefore intended primarily for iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X.
A big advantage of POWERED is its complexity. The stand allows not only to easily charge the iPhone, but also to use it at the same time. For greater comfort, it offers charging in both vertical and horizontal positions. With the new charger from Logitech, you can watch a video, read a recipe or communicate via FaceTime, even when the iPhone is placed in the charging stand. You will also be pleased with the rubberized cradle in the shape of a "U", which keeps the iPhone in a stable position and with a protective case with a thickness of up to 3 mm.
"Unlike regular charging pads, you don't have to struggle with the correct positioning of the phone - just slide the iPhone into the cradle. It's really magically easy and convenient especially for iPhone X users who can simply unlock their phone using Face ID.” says Michele Hermann, vice president of mobile solutions at Logitech.
POWERED offers Qi certification, is optimized for iPhone, and includes overheat protection to help regulate temperature. The power of the charger is up to 7,5 W, which is an ideal value for apple phones. In the upper part of the stand, there is an LED indicating that the iPhone is charging, but it remains hidden behind the phone, so it does not create an intrusive impression.
Logitech starts selling the POWERED wireless charging stand already this month, at a price of CZK 2. It is currently possible to pre-order the charger at official website of the company.
