Petr Šourek Has it ever happened to you that you needed to calculate your social or health benefits, or the amount of your salary, or how much you will pay for which tax? Certainly yes, but the calculators on the Internet are modest and not everywhere has an Internet connection. Wages and money is an application that allows you to calculate this based on the entered data and mainly combines a lot of calculations in this area.
This application does not look anything extra at first glance, but its main strength is in its functionality. Its areas are divided into:
- Persons,
- self-employed,
- loans,
- Saving.
Within each of these areas are calculations that relate to that area. For example, in the Persons area, you can calculate your net salary as an employee, sick pay, maternity pay, real estate transfer tax, etc. Each of these items has clear data entry, so when you click on, for example, the calculation of net salary, you will see an entry screen with relevant data. You must enter your gross salary, how many children you have, whether you are studying, etc. After pressing the calculate button, the application will show you how much your net salary is, how much your super gross salary is, how much you will pay for social and health insurance, and the same for your employer.
The calculations are accurate, sometimes they deviate by a few crowns, which is of course caused by rounding, and I am not saying that the calculators with which I compared the results are 100% accurate. The author himself writes in the application that the calculations are only indicative. During the checks, I also discovered an error in the calculation of the employee's net salary, when with 10 children the amount differed in the order of thousands, in any case, I reported the problem to the author and he immediately reviewed the problem, and now there is a new corrected version of this program on the AppStore for approval. The author responded quickly and helpfully, so if you find a bug in the app, don't hesitate to report it.
I would criticize the application for one thing. Sometimes I miss items there. For example, when calculating the net salary, I am missing deductible items for my wife, etc. Alternatively, it wouldn't hurt to have an "extended" version of the calculation that is able to calculate the net salary including the vacation that was taken this month. Anyway, I firmly believe that even these calculations will be added to the application in time. However, I recognize that the calculations in this area are more complex. It would be necessary to enter more input data from the user and, of course, familiarize the user with how such a calculation works, so as not to confuse him.
The application is great and for 20 CZK it still has no competition. I admit that many calculators can be found online, but we are not always connected to the Internet or do not have enough time to search for them. If you want an application that is clear and has all these calculations nicely together so that you don't have to waste your precious time searching for calculators on the Internet, this is just for you.

From the point of view of other legislation, is this program also applicable in Slovakia?

I'm afraid, but I'll probably disappoint you... the Czech legislation is bogged down, try to contact the author. Unfortunately, I didn't ask about this when I communicated with him. The only thing I know is that in the next few weeks there should be a version that will also take into account the wife and the legislation being prepared for 2011, but nothing about Slovakia ;( try the author.
It is certainly not usable in Slovakia.
It would be nice if the application also complied with Slovak legislation. I would easily send a few hundred to the author.
