Application Moves comes from the developers of ProtoGeo Oy, who have developed a really attractive app for healthy lifestyle and fitness. Even if this app's strength is more about the appearance than the idea, Moves manages to keep you interested. The basis of the application is the pedometer. Yes, this is a pedometer that we already know from old phones, but this one will offer us much more.
When you first turn on Moves, you will most likely, like me, be interested in the two wheels or bubbles next to each other and the nicely color-coordinated design. The larger "green" wheel measures everything related to your walking: the distance you've walked per day in kilometers, the total walking time in minutes and the total number of steps. The smaller "purple" wheel on the right measures the same values as walking, but these are running values. Above these bubbles is the current date. Initially, the current day is displayed, but if you click on it, you will see the total statistics for the whole week. The app saves you every day. You can, however, scroll between the individual days "classically" - by dragging your finger from side to side and compare, for example, days when you had a full program and days such as Sunday, when you most likely only have a single program "to walk from bed to the refrigerator and back". . Moves marks the day of the week on which you achieved the highest values as a record day.
Below the bubbles is a map with submaps of your daily journey. In my opinion, it's great that the whole map is interactive and very well described. You can simply "click" on each section, and you will then see the details on a classic map with a marked route. It is marked in color and is related to the already mentioned bubbles. The purple color, as with the bubble, represents running, green represents walking. The gray and blue colors are unrelated to the bubbles and are extra in the maps. Gray color represents transportation, for example if you went by car, train, bus and so on. All sections in the maps contain total time and real time. Time on the transport leg of your trip will give you additional options for using it. For example, you may find that the drive to work takes less than you thought, and you can catch up on some sleep the next day. The blue color represents cycling. When you don't think a particular section is marked with the right color, or you want to make the route more precise, simply click on it and change the color to a different color. But I know from my experience that the marking is quite accurate.
At the bottom of the application there is a bar that contains three basic buttons. First button Today used to quickly find the current day. This is good if you've been looking at previous days and then want to quickly go back to the current day. The way back could be lengthy and therefore this button is definitely needed. The second button is intended for sharing, for example on Facebook or Twitter. The third button is reserved for settings, where you can set a lot of things, for example, if you want to have the length of the route in meters or in miles.
The application is demanding on battery consumption, thanks to its frequent use of GPS. The developers recommend in the description of the application that you have the device connected to the network overnight. If this solution does not suit you, simply turn off the application in the settings and turn it on when you need it.
The Moves application is compatible with iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S and is also optimized for iPhone 5, then with iPad 1, 2, 3, 4 generation and iPad mini.
To be honest, I have to say that I didn't want to buy the app at first. But I was really impressed by the innovative and beautiful design, which finally convinced me to download Moves. Yes, it's not a "world" idea, but after trying all the features it has, I really started to like this app and enjoyed using it.

I wanted to use it as well, but I'm afraid of the battery. I already charge twice a day like this (I don't play games, but I read internet content a lot and use FB messenger and iMessage a lot).
I wonder how the internet is?!
How much does it take, how often, etc...?
Hi, I've been using this app for about a week now. It works quite accurately and reliably.. It just sometimes skips it a bit and "invents" some other routes.. It seems to me as if it accidentally grabs another bat and then somehow decides that I'm near it (when it probably doesn't have a precise GPS available). . Anyway, it's a battery vacuum.. I have an iPhone 5 and I usually last 2 or more days without charging.. With this application in the background, it is necessary to charge it every day.. In the description of the application, I directly point out that it is "designed" so that the phone was connected to the charger overnight.. Well, I don't really like it, having to charge it every day, so I don't know how long I will leave this app in my phone.. Anyway, I wrote them feedback that the consumption is simply the main problem and that I don't really understand why is it draining the battery so much? They themselves claim that the GPS module is not used all the time, but only when a change of location is detected, but that other things from location services such as gyro and accelerometer are used.. I am not an iOS developer, but it seems strange that it would drain the battery like this.... So I'll give it another month or so and if a patch doesn't arrive, I'll probably delete it, for me the consumption is key..
Hello,
thanks for the opinion, I appreciate it! :) I also have an iPhone 5 and I've been used to charging the phone overnight since the beginning, both because it gives me a feeling of security that it will wake me up at XNUMX% in the morning and also because I want to start every day with XNUMX% battery to he didn't have to worry about it, etc... Thanks to my recharging every day, I didn't notice the extreme discharge. I apologize for not providing you with information about the barrier in the review! :)
hi to you too
I don't mind at all connecting the phone "just to be sure" at night or at work, but simply when I get up in the morning 100% and during the day when I work with the phone such as writing a couple of sms, an email, a couple of phone calls and at 4 o'clock I have 30-40% batteries and I'm awake all evening, when I have to go and have fun, so it's just a fart.. But otherwise I like the app.. I've currently turned it off (not deleted) I'll wait for some patch, or when I want to measure something exactly how much I have tried, I will turn it on again, but unfortunately I will not use it for 24/7 operation. ;)
Walking, running, cycling, transport... I want to ask if the application itself recognizes how I am currently moving?
Yes, the application itself recognizes how you move... :)
It's a nice application, but greasy! ATTENTION, Today's test: switched on 8:40 100% battery. 16:12 battery 41%! In less than a day. I sent two text messages, one MMS and read emails for 10 minutes. It is not true that it somehow saves energy during inactivity. Chuze I have 4min, 11min, 5min, 10min. Otherwise, it was driven or climbed and the iPhone was "off" and it consumed more than half of the battery while working. time! In the evening I would need to make a call and I had nothing to do with it. Off, Deleted!
I should also add that all the time in the center, not somewhere in Kotehulki or on D1. I feel that even with full use (not as sporadically as today) it lasts much more than 3/4 of the day. You spend a day playing, otherwise two or three.
