Unfortunately, with a lot of information comes a lot of unwanted information. In short, things we don't even need to know. In many ways, it is also much harder to find the sources of that desirable news and news. Michal Šefl's application Moje noviny is here to solve exactly this problem.
The application will help us wade through the jungle of RSS channels and get to what we want. This is quality content that easily reaches us. Michal selected the most important and interesting servers, in several categories. Specifically, they are: news overview, technology, science and nature, auto-moto, computer games, from the regions, housing, travel and many other interesting areas.
The advantage of the application is that you have everything nicely together and you don't have to search for individual resources. You simply choose what you are interested in and tap to change the red plus to a green "whistle". This will make the server popular and move to the top of its category, and the entire category will then also move to the top of the list. In practice, this means that you have your favorite items in the first places - and quickly accessible.
The appearance of the application is simple and very pleasant. It is not an austere style, and certainly its decency will not offend anyone. In addition, you can choose from 4 preset themes.
Michal told me, and it's not such a big secret, that he is already preparing a new update, which should include a number of interesting changes. The date of the update is not yet known exactly, but it should happen sometime at the end of March. Specifically, the update will bring the possibility to add your own RSS channel and, above all, to distinguish between read and unread messages. Which is probably the only thing I really miss about the app. Furthermore, Michal promised me that our server will also be included in the application, so you will have another option to "tune in" to us.
Moje noviny is a very pleasant program, with a nice modified appearance and, above all, an excellent idea. I already mentioned the only mistake. The program's inability to distinguish between what we have already read and what we haven't. I read the newspaper every morning on my way to school and I don't have to deal with the amount of paper and advertisements. I simply turn on the application and calmly read everything that interests me.
