A month ago, the media headlines were filled with expressions such as mobile revolution, low call prices... There was an advertising or PR shot here and there, but it wasn't much about the beginning of a price revolution. Our operators have compared part of their service offer with the rest of developed Europe (and with each other).
The first timidly revolutionary steps are only now beginning to take place. Another virtual operator started on Monday 13 May 5 MOBIL.CZ, which belongs to the publishing house MAFRA as Prices for calls: 2,50 CZK/min, 1,50 CZK per SMS are the same as the competition BLESKmobile.
What will please the potential applicant the most?
...for each recharge, the possibility to surf for up to 30 following days at full speed. After the allocated data limit of 200 MB is used up or after 30 days, the internet connection will always slow down.
But you pay 100 CZK / 100 MB / month for BLESKmobil Internet per month and 100 CZK extra for another 50 MB. Unfortunately, you will not be able to access the Internet without sufficient credit.
Other minor differences can be found in the price list for roaming, which I recommend you study. Here, MOBIL.CZ is comparatively cheaper than BLESKmobil in voice and data services. The competition only has a better price on the item (Zone 3).

In my opinion, the real battle for Czech calling and surfing customers will only happen in the fall. Several virtual operators are planning to enter the mobile market (GTS, Tesco Mobile, ...). Then maybe we can really enjoy the prices that won't put a dent in our wallets. And maybe there will be a brave among the virtual providers who will offer at an acceptable price (only) mobile data.

I thank the discussants for their substantive comments.
In this reflection I stated as an illustrative example only two virtual operators (GTS, Tesco Mobile, ...). The article was created on 13/5 (when MOBIL.CZ introduced its tariffs) and was published on 20/5 at 7.35:14 a.m. The company GTS did not present its tariffs until 5/2, its offer is limited to self-employed persons or entrepreneurs with an ID number (with the condition of a minimum monthly expenditure of 000 crowns without tax). Information about Tesco Mobile prices appeared on May 20 at 5:14.08 p.m. None of the above companies yet offers a tariff comparable to MOBIL.CZ (80 minutes of calls + 200 MB for 200 CZK).
The MOBIL.CZ offer will certainly find its interested parties. For those who make minimal calls, occasionally surf and do not want to be bound by a contract, it is the most advantageous on the market. As an added bonus, you can use a data package every month.
I have 3 GB per month for 175 CZK (at T-mobile), I call that a good offer.
And I think you have a contract with them, huh? Road operators are thieves, and in today's era of rapidly developing technology, it's pretty much suicide. Especially in the case of fines upon termination of contracts. I would never agree to a contract for two years.
Just so you know:
End of contract termination fines. Only part of the money will be paid to the operators

The virtual operator may lower the price slightly, but I certainly wouldn't expect any super massive discounts. After all, they only resell the services of large mobile operators, and if they want to make at least something, they simply cannot go below wholesale prices. The room is certainly there, but only an idiot would cut his profit to almost zero as soon as he starts trading. As a customer, of course I cry…
Prices will not move significantly until something major happens with the offer of the major operators. Which is happening, but very very slowly and mostly in the style of "New super offer! Hooray! Erm, but for half of the customers it's an increase in price. Booooo.'
There is room for lower prices. See German prices of virtual operators, calls to
CR to landline for 2,60 CZK/min.
It was of no use to me, and the world is amazed, but I use the cheapest option for Apple for 150,- with a weekly limit of 40Mb or whatever it is and it's completely fine for me and it would be enough for a lot of others as additional internet if they didn't keep being scared of how it is not much (they scared me too). And I'm on the internet on my mobile quite often, even for whole days. Good for surfing and maps from Apple.
Nobody scared me / us... it's just you obviously not using your apple device to the full :)
exactly! all money suckers know this, so be free so that we can imprison you with us for two years, and because of this you couldn't finally get the real price for the call in 6 months. Be free and pay more in a year and a half...yeah marketing, and how many people did they screw up?
and also... no matter who comes to the market at any time, 200 CZK for 200 Mb is a steal! Guys, don't be stupid, who's contract is expiring, so call the operator and disable auto-renewal, then you have room to negotiate... and when that day comes, call the operator and make a fuss about moving elsewhere. you will see how your megabytes and minutes start to multiply...
it's useless.. As you wrote above, facetime and iMessage will replace calls and sms.. If only the internet was worth it. I have 300Mb from Vodafone for NOK 74, and that's enough for me for 5 days at the most... I agree with your opinion on this article.
I have updated the text. see above.
