Komerční banka, together with the brand new internet banking, also presented a new version of its Mobile Bank application, which finally becomes usable after many months, although it still has its problems...
Mobile bank 2 namely, it finally offers making payments, viewing transaction history and pending transactions, and although the first mentioned function is still very limited, it is still a great progress. iPhone owners no longer need to access their account only via a desktop browser, but can also monitor account activity via their mobile device.
The ability to monitor and partially control your account is now the main currency of the second version of Mobilní banka, which until now could only display Komerční banka branches, ATMs or important contacts, which was really not enough.
Personally, I especially welcome the ability to monitor the current usable balance and transaction history, which often made me not want to launch the relatively demanding interface of Internet banking in a desktop browser. In addition, now I always have everything at hand right in my iPhone. You don't need a certificate to log in on mobiles like you do on a computer, your birth number and a password of your choice will serve as your login ID.
However, one negative part of the new application from KB is related to this method of logging in, namely entering payment orders. For the sake of security, you first have to pre-select the counter-accounts to which you want to send money in the desktop interface, and then you just select them in the mobile application, which is certainly not practical, because you usually do not know in advance to which account you will need to send money. KB explains this restriction for security reasons, because without the need for a certificate, but only a password, it could easily be misused. However, it is said that a version is being prepared for the future when it will be possible to send money to other, non-preset accounts.
Other news, however, already work reliably. After logging in, you can see your account name and number, current usable and current balance. Transaction history is clearly processed, incoming and outgoing payments are color-coded and there is also a search filter. Individual transactions can be clicked for more detailed information (variable symbol, constant symbol, etc.). An expanded palette of buttons offers the display of pending transactions, an overview of orders, and through Mobilní banka 2 you can also top up your credit or pay an invoice to the Vodafone mobile operator.
In the panel Box you can read new news from Komerční banka and bookmark My branch visit if you need to know information about your advisor (name, phone, e-mail), the address of the branch, its opening hours, and you can also find out here, for example, what currency exchange activities the given branch offers.
In addition to managing your account, Mobile Bank 2 also offers additional functions such as a map of ATMs and branches, an overview of all KB reports, all contacts, as well as an overview of foreign and domestic funds and currency rates. You can then calculate how much they would cost you in the present simulator mortgage loan, personal loan or Perfect loan.
So it seems that Komerční banka is heading in the right direction with its mobile application after a long wait. In addition to the already mentioned restrictions on entering payments, I noticed one more drawback when using Mobilní banka 2 - the application does not automatically log you out when you exit. and so it is always better to log out manually. Automatic logout does not occur immediately, but is set to a ten-minute interval. Additionally, if you jump out of the app, send it to the background, the delay will be reduced to a single minute, after which you'll be logged out. This means that if you just want to jump to another app for a moment (whether for payment information or anything else), you won't have to enter your password again right away.
The Mobile Bank 2 application is available for free in the App Store. Android users can also download it, and importantly, Mobile Bank 2 can also be accessed through a web browser when you visit www.mobilnibanka.cz.

Hello, just an addition to the automatic logout – it works in such a way that the application logs you out after 10 minutes, and after you listen to it in the background, this interval is shortened to 1 minute. This is so that you don't lose the context when you want to jump out of the application for a moment and then come back...
Thanks for the observation, I also noticed it after the review was published, I will add it.
I hoped in vain that a native application for iPad would come with this update.
I've been waiting for it since X or XII / 2010 and the disappointment is huge, the anger is even bigger. Not only was KB probably the last one that didn't allow this (in other words, medium and large banks definitely did), when they finally start it, it's more of an annoyance than a joy. I have balances, ATM withdrawals, card payments and account movements set up to receive emails, so it didn't really help me much. It could be wished that I could not access all the accounts that I manage, but only my own, but the main thing, when a person in the "field", i.e. outside the computer, needs to use the mobile bank, the overwhelming majority needs to pay something extraordinary or very quickly and I bet that it will always be about sending money to an account that you have not chosen and therefore will not make it happen. What I have "on the list" are regular payments that I have a direct debit or standing order set up for. On another site I read a response from KB that it is for security. So why doesn't it provide better? At the same time, as I found out from colleagues and friends, this is possible with other banks and has been for a long time (Fio, Rajfka...).
I'm not surprised that there isn't an iPad app. Perhaps only ČSOB has it.
Well, the Czech Raiffeisen doesn't have an application for the iPhone at all, which turns me off. I went through Expandia > eBanka > RB and it really is ten to five. At one time Expandia had the only mobile banking far and wide (that's why I went to it), it's not worth talking about with RB. Such applications from RB Kosovo, Romania, etc. would be in the AppStore…
As I write in the article, according to KB, it is really for security, however, they are preparing another solution. The question is how long it will be.
When I saw what I was waiting for, what KB threw at us, a lot of words came to mind. Only the words "bank" and "telephone" can be published. Such a semi-finished product, they could keep it. They probably have a development club in KB and they are snoring. And I'm not even talking about the fact that today, even in the afternoon, it's a problem to log in. On mobile and PC.
Today, Mojebanka is dead, you can't log in at all. That there would be more clients than expected? Write something more fatal.
I can't log in via mobile banking yesterday or today, and the promised technical support doesn't call me back either, as I was promised on their helpline, they didn't even succeed and now they don't know what to do with it... ;-)
After ten days they finally called, they have bugs in the mobile bank 2 system and for users who are account holders (with all the necessary rights) their mobile bank 2 may not work. Simply, the mobile application is denied login to the set accounts.
They say they will remove the bug on 13/7/2012. I don't want to be rude, but they didn't do very well, for the time it took them to develop a mobile application for iOS... :-/
the update to version 4.0.0 is now available ... it brings some interesting news
send payments to any account after pairing your phone with the parent web app
scanning receipts
QR payments
...
Unfortunately, since 24.11, it is not functional and cannot be downloaded.
So again, it's about halfway :-/ Although the application allows you to pay to any account (you need to enable My Bank on the computer in internet banking), it even handles slips (just take a picture) or QR codes, but they forgot about the iPad and iPhone 5. On the main page in the application, there are unnecessary functions that I do not need every time, or at least to a minimum = choice of card design, calculation of pension, mortgage and other loans. You can't choose much in the settings either - only 4 themes, then which ATMs you want to display and the last option is the choice of language cz/eng.
