Apple updated the MobileMe service some time ago, so we are fulfilling our duty to inform all potential users of this service. What its users will notice first is the new look. And MobileMe Mail has also received improvements.
One of the new design changes is a change to the navigation elements, a cloud icon on the left and your name on the right. Clicking on the cloud icon (or the keyboard shortcut Shift+ESC) will open a new Switcher application, allowing you to switch between the web applications that MobileMe offers. Click on your name to open a menu with account settings, help and logout.
MobileMe Mail enhancements include:
- The wide-angle and compact view allow a better overview when reading mail and the user does not have to "roll" as much. Choose a compact view to hide details or a classic view to see more of your message list.
- Rules to keep your email organized anywhere. These rules will help you reduce the clutter of your inbox by automatically sorting into folders. Just set them on me.com and your mail will be sorted everywhere else – on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac or PC.
- Simple archiving. By clicking the "Archive" button, the marked message will be quickly moved to the Archive.
- A formatting toolbar that allows you to change colors and other different font formats.
- Overall speedup – Mail will now load much faster than before.
- Increased security through SSL. You can count on SSL protection even if you use MobileMe mail on another device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac or PC).
- Support for other e-mail accounts, allows you to read mail from other accounts in one place.
- Spam filter improvements. MobileMe mail moves unsolicited messages straight to the "Junk folder". If by chance "solicited" mail ends up in this folder, just click the "Not Junk" button and messages from this sender will never be treated as "junk mail" again.

Still paid for now?
Yes, it's still paid. You can try the trial version for 3 months.
I would also like to add that in addition to the main email (the address or the name of the MobileMe account) there is the option of 5 other email address aliases - always with the ending @me.com, so we can use different "our addresses" in email correspondence - each is possible assign a different color and mails in the outbox folder are labeled and organized accordingly.
only @me.com??….then nothing, I'll probably stay with hotmail :-(
You can forward NA mail in MobileMe from any e-mail address (you can arrange forwarding with your provider). These are outgoing aliases (once you're corporate jan_houska@me.com which is more serious than necessary love_sex@me.com for dating...). Perhaps you wouldn't want to be able to introduce yourself as in MobileMe bill_gates@microsoft.com or a member of a domain other than me.com?
Well, since I use work emails on my private domains (4 different emails on 3 different domains) and I would like to manage them through one email account... and on hotmail (I think also on gmail) I can send mail as someone else, than @hotmail.com (eg bill.gates@mojedomena.cz)…I didn't mean the redirect, it doesn't bother me because it works :-)
At first I was excited about the server rules for trideni. My enthusiasm waned the moment I found out that it comes from the right, sorted into the XY folder by the filter, it doesn't appear on my iPhone as new unread. I have to go into the XY folder manually and check if there is anything new in it. In my opinion, the useful value of the rules is reduced by 50% :-( MobileMe only synchronizes the Inbox with the iPhone via push, nothing more :-(
So that's a pretty big mistake. It's putting me off Mobile.me again.
Great, but the price…
Moreover, now the trial is only for 60 days.
I have been paying for this service for several years, but after
update which did not bring so many improvements and changes for me, I will probably go to google.
