Microsoft, which owns Github, released a new app for iOS and Android today. It is mainly intended for developers who are not at the computer and have to organize tasks, write feedback, reply in comments or check the code. However, code editing itself is not supported in the application at this time.

Notifications from Github are displayed in the Inbox, which you may recognize from many different to-do applications or email clients. By swiping, you can save individual notifications for later, or mark them as fulfilled. Emojis can also be used in comments. And in a similar way as, for example, on Facebook. Support for dark mode will also please.

The app has been available in beta since November for iOS and since January for Android. You can download it free from the AppStore and works with both iPads and iPhones. This is the next major update that Microsoft has rolled out to Github users since purchasing the company in 2018.
