Microsoft revealed a lot of interesting hardware at its keynote. Among other things, competition for MacBook Air, iPad Pro or AirPods. What does everything look like and what can the new devices do?
New York hosted a major event today one of Apple's main competitors, Microsoftu. He used the opportunity and immediately presented the entire portfolio of new products. Whether it's the new Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7 and Pro X or the Surface Earbuds, these are very interesting devices. He didn't even miss the proverbial cherry at the end.
The new Surface Laptop 3 will be 3x more powerful than the MacBook Air. It relies on the tenth generation of processors from Intel, and there will also be variants with the new AMD Ryzen Surface Edition graphics cards.
Computers will also offer fast charging, which we know from smartphones. The battery charges to 80% in just one hour. In addition to USB-C, Microsoft keeps the USB-A port. The entire computer is again made of aluminum and has a special soft material as a keyboard cover.
The laptop also offers a user-replaceable SSD, thus again going against the MacBook. There will be two variants on the market, one with a 13" display and the other with a 15" screen. The price starts at $999, which is $100 less than the base MacBook Air.

Not only laptops, but also tablets and smartphones from Microsoft
Microsoft is not afraid to compete in the tablet field either. The new Surface Pro 7 convertible tablets include USB-C and a 12,3" screen, following the model of the iPad Pro. Pricing starts at $749.
The partner will then be the new Surface Pro X, which is a hybrid between a tablet and a laptop. The device includes a full touch screen and at the same time a full hardware keyboard. Pricing starts at $999.

Another novelty is the Surface Earbuds wireless headphones. These are aimed directly at the AirPods. However, they are rather chubby in design and the price is also higher than we might expect. The headphones cost $249.

A big surprise at the end was a pair of devices with a flexible display. Surface Neo and Surface Duo are devices from the field of tablets and smartphones. A rather surprising fact is that the device is powered by the Android OS. However, the launch date is not set and is rumored to be in the fourth quarter of 2020.
